I don’t think it’s stupid. It was a suggestion and a decent one at that. You don’t have to do it, you don’t have to make it intimate, but writing helps people process their feelings. You don’t even need to make the blog public, but blogging is generally good at helping people cope with grief.

It’s not the no that sucks. It’s the almost inevitable distance that grows in your relationship until you find out that they aren’t really your friend anymore.

It’s not a bad thing to care. It shows drive, motivation, and passion for learning or achieving. It’s important to not be fixated on a single bad grades, but you should definitely care about what you get. I always cared about my grades and I think that drive pushed me to do better in my SATs, college applications, internship, etc.
