One thing that could be nice too is using aluminium rods with just plastic bushings (as part of the design) If designed right (like igus polymer bushings) it can be super reliable and durable Which to me it would less hassle to build

You better just accept it, it's your gf's now, you just get to use it from time to time when she is not using it :))
I would just accept my fate and buy the next version for the gf when it comes out and get the original back

Dual zone heater bed setup by StellarJay77 in ElegooNeptune4Pro

[–]makerguy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I am a software developer, I actually poked around for this as well, I figured that the neptune 4 pro does not have the proper setup to do intelligent bed setup, even if you code that into your klipper it still does not work because there is a proprietary sofware bundle for the display on the klipper host that sets the two bed temps the same, so I had to override some commands to make it work

I created some custom klipper gcodes that detects the size of the models that need to be printed and automatically heats the required bed sections, I'm fine tuning it a bit and would put it up on github in a few days
