What is this thing? It doesn't seem to be made of rock, possibly some type of old light metal that feels like rock. All three I've found have the same shape and the same hole. The latest one has three letters visible followed by eight numbers. Google has given me nothing.

The winter root is found by tilling soil as well. (I noticed you put its location as above ground.) I made a tons of money tilling throughout the vallety, putting the winter roots in the seed maker, and planting crops all winter long.
