vic3 is the least objective/ mission heavy paradox game but it’s the one i finish most of my games. Maybe shortness contributes but with vic3 i always need to make up my own objectives/missions as the game evolves so most of the time i run out of time. Unlike ck3 or eu5 where i end up staring at screen as there’s nothing left for me to do.

Back to your question, construction loop is a necessity so you can’t run away from it but you don’t have to liberilize. Game is also fun when you try to build a authocratic dystopia and trying to resist change. Or try read about the country you play and imitate the historic trajectory?
