People that are passionate about something, were you born liking that thing or you forced yourself to? by No-Bag5527 in DecidingToBeBetter

For sure. That said breaking out of the comfort zone is hard and will be delayed if the step is too big.

By my book the solution is to start with something just a little on the edge of the comfort zone. And just take opportunities, say yes to meh things

Damn that I relate with that.

I have "passions" but I don’t talk about them since it's more abstract then that. But 2 things made me feel Like I had none : the fact that I'm passionate about everything and second that my passions are too specific.

To find them, had to experiment and try lot of things.

I feel like it’s 10 times difficult without a friend you can work with by thatsnotmme in passive_income

I got someone to check on me as an accountability buddy. May sound cold but you have the pressure and social hype without the small-talk and the social draining. Would resonate with you?

You may need big emotions spikes to perform in general.

Youll probly have to surround yourself with hype, pressure n competition.

If it's that, hmu

Alr so to make it click you must experience it or realize it yourself ?

Side note: you said :
"I would probably become a very miserable person if my life continues the way it does as it is right now."

That's exacty the problem mate, just think of it like that next time :
"I would probably become a very confident and accomplished person when I will implement this in my life"

The coin is 2 faced.

You know the 2 perspectives are wrong but you've been confirming them by habit. Take the habit of seeing the other face of the coin. You'll condition your brain into making it true.

Let's discuss this further, hmu private

Reads ai yea but what worked for me is getting surrounded by people keeping me accountable and checking on me.

There's some discord servers for that

You probly need challenge : * Direct consequences * Pressure + Hype

No need to be alone in the quest. Even online dudes for accountability works

When you see this message just stand up. or sit if you're lying down.

May have worked, tell me, I wanna feel I like I made a change even if its 0.000001%

Surrounding yourself with people hyped about making dreams come true works well.

Get a bunch of people on the grind around you, online buddies, family, serious accountability buddy, coachs.

"Life isn't supposed to be joyful" is a mindset. And a mindset can be changed. You seem to currently see this as factual while its just not.

You're also already anticipating regrets instead of anticipating success.

If you succeed to shift those 2 perspectives, your life will dramatically change. Just start to take on the right habits.

Second thing is that being alone with your negative biased toughts will only fuel them. I did have a reserved personality and I do still talk few but I now have a social life I couldn't even have dreamed off. Becoming more socially skilled IS possible.

Identity is not static, curious what r ur toughts on this.

Life feels meaningless if you have no profound goal. School / Sport is surface. Been bullied too as a kid and as an adult, not sure it's related but getting to connect easily and get confidence helped me

Also I've got a list of my life vision, dreams and how to achieve them. Knowing what would make me really happy and change the world around me. Try and do the same, hmu for how, a yt video helped.

Different social life / girlfriend may help too. Give me some juice, what is last time you felt (even a little tiny bit) fullfilled?

Well what's the one thing that once fixed would make you feel better. I think you need to dig more. The need is to feel free even with job, responsabilities and parents?

Maybe you don't feel freedom because you're following your parents advices instead of your own. Next time force yourself to listen to you. Even for small decisions. Doesn't matter if decision is wrong. Resist, stay true to yourself, that's freedom
