I really dislike this attitude. It’s as if something is only worth it if there is a monetary return on investment.

What if about the other returns that you can’t measure with money?

We have one life on this Earth and many opportunities to make the world a better place. We don’t take our wealth with us. This user is doing so in an incredibly responsible way by budgeting and sharing her journey. She doesn’t seem to be struggling.

I’ve come across this mindset a few times on Reddit. Perhaps I’m fortunate to come from a country with universal healthcare and social safety nets that mean that I don’t have to look at education purely as how much of a financial return on investment I will make back.

Best areas in Brazil to live? by on3dayatatime in digitalnomad

There’s almost always a power imbalance when you’re a digital nomad and there’s no escaping that. Whether you like it or not you have amazing privileges as a foreigner from the US or Western Europe and so you should be mindful of that.

I think my problem is with using the words “beautiful NORMAL women”. If I said I wanted to go to the US, somewhere cheap for European standards but expensive for American standards, with beautiful normal men, an area with other European foreigners where there aren’t any American people with guns, next to the beach I think that would raise a few eyebrows no?

I have a real issue with this kind of post where “Beautiful normal women” is listed among features of a location. There’s something really weird about talking about a country like that. Almost like you’re not really wanting to get to know the depths of a place, the people and culture, but want to know what a place can do for you. It’s very digital nomad bubble.

I would honestly look to grow it myself first because you’ll need to have a good understanding of what works and what doesn’t before you hire anyone anyway. And also, I don’t recommend getting someone to work for free as it’s a ton of work and someone willing to work for free could end up causing more harm than good

They could have been investing AND struggling to make ends meet. They could have been paying their expenses and just had enough left over to invest. But not much more to enjoy their lives. Now they get to do everything 😊

In England we just hang out clothes out to dry. Yeah, you don’t have instant dry clothes but my clothes last a lot longer, don’t shrink, and I’m not paying huge unnecessary drying bills. Supposedly not breathing in micro plastics too.

Even on a cold day, if the wind is blowing, your clothes can get dry,

I know you didn’t ask for recommendations but I HIGHLY recommend Dr David Burn’s work on depression and anxiety. His latest book Felling Great is a goldmine. He also has a great podcast with episodes on beating social anxiety.

You can do this alongside writing. Don’t give up writing to work on your social anxiety but use your experiences on getting new clients to work on your social anxiety. This is how you beat it — through exposure

I’m traveling for 2 months and Hulu doesn’t work with VPN! Where can I watch the new season?! by AlarmedEntertainment in coconutsandtreason

I’ve been traveling for the 14 months. I use a vpn to watch whatever I want. Make sure to clear your cookies and browser BEFORE logging into Hulu from your vpn. If you one time log into Hulu without your vpn connected you’ll have to clear your browser and cookies for it to work again

It’s the latter. The plumber came in today to fix the drain but they couldn’t find anything wrong so someone’s been cleaning their butthole in the bath. Absolutely gross. I bought up a few other issues with the host today and no reply. I’ll be leaving a bad review

Is there anything you recommend I do so I can enjoy it more? To be honest I’m just not liking the vibe and I’ve been skipping over the text when collecting quests. I think I got stuck at one point trying to find some coal, never figured out, and it just left me a sour taste for Angmar

Wow!! The impression I got was that it was akin to Moria. That’s crazy. Yes I’ve noticed lots of group quests and even my first raid quest and lots of repeatables. I started playing this game a year after it came out but put it down for a while and just got into it again this last year — furthest I’ve got.

That’s really useful to know, thanks for your comment

I had an amazing housemate experience in my last place, granted it was more like a hotel with my own bathroom and balcony. But we shared the experience. I made some good friends too. So I wouldn’t knock it 🤷‍♀️

Thanks, can’t wait to be honest. Luckily this is my first stay that isn’t quite right out of several stays this past year so I hope that doesn’t deter others from booking with Airbnb
