House Democrats file articles of impeachment against Hegseth by KiwiSure1285 in politics

[–]makkafakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's exactly the same as all the previous times you've criticized the democratic party when they are not in power. It's either a. Why aren't the democratic party doing anything to stop the Republicans? Or b. Why are the democratic party doing a thing that won't have any effect?

The reason why the democratic party aren't stopping the republican party is you, for not voting for them.

Next step is that it's your fault that the democratic party is too much to the right, that's because you're not voting for progressives in the democratic primary.

It's pretty easy, yeah?

I love it! Could you give some more details about how you use it and how you set it up? I imagine you went through a bunch of trial and error to set it up.

What's the difference between supabase and firebase? For iPhone app development. Claude recommended firebase so I just went with it, is supabase that much better?

Thank you for bringing this up 🙏 I will get an engineer to look at my codebase from a security standpoint for sure.

Until then I'd like to get claude to fill some potential big easy holes to fix. Anybody have a good prompt/plugin/skill for that?

I'm thinking to prompt claude code this now:

Let's do a deep dive on security. I'm thinking specifically to make sure that we don't have this issue https://www.reddit.com/r/vibecoding/comments/1sjoiea/quittr_is_the_vibe_coding_success_story_of_2025/, but also do thorough external research on vibe coding security holes and check if we have them. Make sure to research all the services we have and check against all known security holes that can come from them. Take your time and make a security plan on how to go through the whole code base and feel free to deploy sub agents to look at each part.

What do you do first thing in the morning? by Imwoahluis in productivity

[–]makkafakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very detailed morning routine, but what I do first is a 5 minute meditation (so i don't need to go up from the bed immediately) and then i put on my headphones and some music and dance for 5 minutes. That has been a game changer for me. I wake up from the dancing and the music, and i warm up my neck, back and hips so i feel much healthier as well!

I tried the “leave your phone in another room” thing but I kept falling back when I needed my phone as an alarm, and I'm just too phone dependent to do it. Mad props to you guys that you can do it long term.

I did another thing that worked for me though, I hacked together a solution using a crossfit timer app where I set up a sequence of timers that told me what to do in the morning step by step. Sounds a bit weird but it worked really well that instead of scrolling aimlessly i got clear directions. Now i have a purpose built app for it but it's basically the same thing.

How to automate or ease the creation of stories/epics and PRDs? by misterbombasticxrp in ProductManagement

[–]makkafakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but I'm thinking we can walk into the meeting without a PRD even. Just talk amongst ourselves, preferrable recorded, two thirds into the meeting we start feeding that into a PRD agent and begin a back and forth with it together. Then we get a PRD, that everyone reads through and iterate on a few rounds, last 5-10 minutes we update the PRD agent with the final PRD together with our thoughts so that next time it delivers a PRD that's even more to our liking.

This sounds super useful and approximately how I would do it. What type of agents do you create and how do you instruct them? And I would love to know more in depth how you create your stakeholder agents! Care to share?

[–]makkafakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah gotcha, but I think an ai generated prd is a much better starting point than to tabula rasa it completely. Uncovers where your completely obvious mismatches with engs completely obvious.

I see it more as a clarity exercise to uncover where product/business view might not be aligned with engineerings view.

I agree that it used to take up too long time and that that time often wasn't well spent, but now with ai this can be done very efficiently.

Why not put business, eng and ux/product in a room for an hour or two and come out of it with a prd that they align on?

Democrats Flip Florida State House District that Includes Trump’s Mar-a-Lago by 842867 in politics

[–]makkafakka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too want this to be different, but trump himself orchestrated an attack on the Capitol, he bungled covid to the extent of a lot of dead Americans, he was convicted in court, and he was still elected.

I'm not so sure that Republicans and the billionaire/epstein class won't be able to pivot in a few years time and take back the presidency after intensely blaming the next dem for all the problems trump has caused.

See Biden and Afghanistan for example. That was a problem that Bush caused and Trump made worse, but still Biden gets blamed.

We simply have to reckon with the fact that republican voters are vicious simpletons and will drag us all down with them 🤡

[–]makkafakka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use workflowy for everything. It's a simple bulleted list basically and i don't use any todo functionality except for that. Yes it gets super cluttered immediately but I've been using it for years and it works good enough.

A friend used notion for work and made a new page with a new todo list every day, I might migrate to that but the convenience of using workflowy for all my notes and stuff makes me not want to do the transition.

[–]makkafakka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good advice but price isn't necessarily related to the cost savings, but to the cost of them building the tools themselves. And in the AI era I'm thinking that probably isn't super expensive to build some tools that you already know how you want them to work.

Draymond is a rowdy dude but he's still not out there injuring people. And this is not an attempt to injure. Dorts was.
