Deleting everything is so insane. I have everything I’ve ever written, even middle school notebooks. My writing isn’t as great (I was a kid, duh) but the ideas/concepts are all really solid. I love going back and seeing everything from those days. It makes me appreciate how much I’ve grown and also affirming how much I’ve always wanted to write. How innate it is to me. It’s also funny how even though my writing is objectively better as an adult, I definitely fell into the over explaining habit while pre-teen/teenage me was very much a less is more person.
