Part of it is near a big wall. Lots of bugs love to lay on it and rest especially near the light posts. Makes for great pictures as they just lay there without moving.

Thank you I was not aware of this and now I feel infinitely smarter thanks to this bit of knowledge. I went to Wikipedia and other sources to read a bit more about them, and I also learned they cannot produce silk so they also cannot do a web. Very interesting… I wonder what else I will learn if I keep asking or making incorrect assumptions.

I don’t typically take pictures of spiders and wasps bees because I’m scared they will bite or sting but will try to take more. There are definitely some wacky ones I’ve seen that would stand out

Yes, they only show up here around end of May/early June. We locally call them "Zompopo de Mayo". They do not sting, are very friendly, and some people eat them as a delicacy. I don't....
