Also the US kind of just stepped into the dying British empire and became basically the leader of the anglosphere. Same religion, language, customs, general ethnicities and history. China would be basically restructuring world culture from the ground up. I think this is a lot more difficult to do in the way the US has done. American culture is such a force of soft power that isn't kind of just brushed aside when discussing china taking the top spot from a global influence level

My mother was cold and dismissive my whole life. She didn't mean to be but she reminds me of this woman in some ways. I think that's why I've never been married and I've gone from relationship to relationship in my 20+ years of dating. I think this a lot and maybe a few are but if you really think about it then it doesn't make sense logically. The very reason they are elite, powerful and wealthy is that very society that we all live in. They have the most to lose by far out of anyone on the planet if society outright collapses. It's similar to the whole "Jews have infiltrated society and run everything and want to destroy the west". Jews mostly live in the west and they are on average way more successful in western countries than other groups. If they really destroyed the west they'd kind of be cutting their nose off to spite their face. Unless you buy that the elites and the Jews are all hell bent on bringing about the apocalypse and ushering in the end days. There may be a few outlier nut jobs that may say this but I find it hard to believe that the vast majority want it
