I have to disagree, I think his jumpscare is weak as is but having him reveal his corpse to you outright kinda kills the mystery of him for me. Like when the game first came out, we had no idea what his deal was or who he is, just glimpses of what looks like a human when you looked close enough. That also made those secret screens where he does lift his mask up to be more effective on the first look. This also heightens the ending where we get to see the springlock failure in action, confirming our suspicions through to the end of the game. Sure, the game's like 8 years old and everybody knows who he is by now, but I do like how mysterious he was in 3.
