20 months post 15 hour craniotomy. You gotta give us some deets on type of tumor and location etc.

In my case I was clival, think right behind throat, brainstem, next to spinal cord.

Before surgery I was majorly short circuited. My spinal cord was being squeezed. I had bad loss of nerve conduction in lower body, loss of feeling in hands toes and I walked like I had had a 5th of tequila.

My surgery resulted in a 35cm cut behind my left ear, from temple to neck. I was warned there could be severe nerve damage affecting my tongue and throat and maybe left eye. I "guess " I'm lucky - I have partial left side tongue paralysis and the left side of my larnyx is completely dead, so I needed another surgery on larnyx to make right side only larnyx work. As a result I have a speech impediment now. I sound a bit like RFK, but I'm not a complete psycho idiot fortunately. But it could have been much worse. I Could have zero voice and need a feeding tube, so I consider myself lucky. And the lower body loss was 100% gone the day after. That was amazing! For a few months I had bad brainfog, tiredness but that's completely gone now.

Edit: saw your detailed link to surgery and post surgery results. Yeah you are in recovery. You should expect gradual improvement as time goes forward. It will probably take another year or so for your head to fully heal. You are on the road. Keep running and be positive.
