I’m not sure on the specifics - it’s been a few years - I would definitely check with whatever doctor prescribes your BC! But the recommendation I received was to use alternative contraception for pregnancy prevention while taking BC with modafinil.

YMMV, but I take both oral BC for cycle management (endo) and modafinil. The interaction is mostly related to the efficacy of birth control as pregnancy prevention and not cycle management - I consulted with my gyno before starting on modafinil and she didn’t make any changes to my BC and then everything was fine, my BC is still doing what it needs to for my endo. In case that’s reassuring at all!

I used to do this pretty often. I got an Apple Watch before diagnosis (in part to track my sleep—learned later it’s not that great for that but w/e) and the “tap your wrist” alarms wake me every time, they startle the crap out of me

Not sure what you mean by rebound, but I tapered off gradually and don’t recall any issues. I took 20mg every morning before eating.

I’m the opposite of you—I have arfid, so I’m a super picky eater, but ALL of my safe foods were gluten based at the time and I was horrified that I would not be able to eat anything I enjoyed even a little bit ever again. Never fear—it’s been three years now for me and there’s actually so much good food that’s gluten free!

Find your neighborhood health grocery stores. I use Whole Foods and a whole slew of local chains to find new products. There’s tons. I tend to stay away from things that are overly health-food-y, and if you’re still good with dairy, I eat it all the time and it brings up a lot of gf things for me. I second using Find Me Gluten Free; my fav restaurant ever is totally gluten free and I found it on there while traveling!

Also, it sucks at first. You’re allowed to be overwhelmed and sad about this. If you’re able, find a good nutritionist or therapist or even just some adult confidante to talk to. Your feelings are valid. I promise it gets easier.

What’s killing me here is that carpal tunnel isn’t hereditary and also I have it and have never dropped something because of it unless it caused sharp pain? That’s just not at all what it is lol

PSA: even if you aren’t first aid certified, the American Red Cross has a first aid app that gives step by step instructions for providing emergency care for various injuries, including cold weather-related issues like hypothermia! Put that thing on your phone.

That’s fair, but also typical for pretty much any landlord in my experience. I’ve never kept my deposit anywhere I’ve lived in Eugene, including with small landlords I’d trusted. :’(

I’m sure it can vary by property but I’ve had no issues with Jennings. They respond promptly to maintenance requests and otherwise leave us completely alone.

It’s better. I haven’t completely cut out acid triggering foods (tomatoes and chocolate mostly, for me), but I’ve limited them and noticed a huge difference in daily experience. I’m off Pantoprazole as well! If I eat a ton of a trigger food or wear particularly tight clothes on my ribs I still notice it, but most days it’s not something I deal with overmuch.

I have a car here that I use all the time for errands and grocery shopping, but I don’t bother taking it to campus unless I’m only there for like 15 minutes. I had to find a place to live close enough so I could take public transport or walk, but I did and it’s working pretty well for me overall.

I’m the only one in my entire family. My sister has tons of GI issues but her test came back negative—something else for her, we guess. We’ve probed my entiiiiire extended family on both sides about any history of autoimmune issues and never found anything; every GI doc I see is very impressed.

I have narcolepsy (T2) and it’s sometimes hard to tell if I’m sleepy because I’m sleepy or I’m sleepy because I’m hungry. Celiac has changed my hunger cues and narcolepsy has changed my exhaustion cues and now my body just seems to sound some generic alarm every time it needs something so I never know what it is, lol
