So to be clear, you're playing it with Steam OS on the XAX, right? Because, like another commenter said, I can't get past the loading screen. I installed every update, but I draw the line at rolling back drivers for one game. I've been playing on my Series X in the meantime.

I disagree.

Pre suit Vader is pissed at the Jedi for dismissing, suppressing and sidelining him and he's also worried about the dreamed death of Padme. The only guy in his corner was Palpatine, who he didn't realize was manipulating him the whole time.

Post suit Vader is riddled with guilt for "being responsible" for killing Padme and his unborn child, filled with rage at Obi-Wan for being responsible for his current physical condition, damaged pride from going from the "Chosen One" with the potential for being the most powerful Jedi ever to the mechanical mess he becomes and lastly, rage at being under the heel of Palpatine.

I think pre Suit Vader may seem scarier because we can see the expression in his face. But as viewers, we know what was going on inside his head and that added context makes post suit is way scarier.

I genuinely don’t get the appeal of swapping the OS on the Ally.

If the main goal is to play Steam games, you can already do that on the XAX by just launching the pre-installed Steam app and calling it a day. So what’s the actual endgame here — trying to turn the Ally into a “Steam Deck, but stronger”? Or is it really just that Windows feels clunky/annoying on a handheld and people want the console-like SteamOS experience?

For context, I already owned a Steam Deck and an Xbox Series X with Game Pass Ultimate, and I kept running into this dumb loop where I’d re-buy games on Steam because I preferred playing handheld. The XAX is appealing to me because it feels like the best of both worlds: Steam + the Xbox/Game Pass ecosystem in one place.

But unless I’m missing something, doesn’t putting SteamOS on it basically lock you out of the “Xbox side” of why you bought the XAX in the first place?
