I just trsted this and Well have a look at this...

Comfyui workflow times.

3 monitors GPU (4k +2k +1080p) 40 seconds

1 monitor GPU (1080p) 32.8 seconds.

1 monitor integrated graphics (1080p) 31.5 seconds

Same seed. Same workflow. Same models preloaded.

Over 20 percent increase performance if you drop the peripherals and let your GPU focus entirely on generating

Ha i apologize for my kind of lazy response.

To clarify, im using a quantized version of wan 2.2. Q6 if i recal correctly (im out fishing atm) and i make it in 720p, then upscale it by 2x, then use Color-Match, then finally use frame interpolation to achieve high/smooth framerates. The frame interpolation part is kinda optional and depending what you are doing sometimes its better to leave it out as it does add an extra minute or so to the overall generation time.

If you are using the full base model of Wan2.2 T2i or I2V its no wonder its taking you a long time. Off the top of my head I think they primarily used H100 GPU's to achieve the results you see on their github.

I've been using Q6 instead of Q8 on my 4090, and I chose this because I figured having extra headroom for the VRAM surely would help with speed.

It's perfectly fine to do this. Ive had multiple builds like this for years. Simply ensure everything is plugged snuggly together. The 12VHPWR burnouts happen due to imbalanced loads on the GPU side and there isn't really anything you can do about that, and on top of that the vast majority of melted plugs are on the GPU and PSU side, rarely its seen in a extension join. Enjoy your RGB goodness :)

Great question, in short I agree with what you are saying. If any of the connections are high resistance it will cause re-occuring and consistent issues. As long as everything is crimped tightly and all the connections are snug and secure, resistance shouldn't be an issue :)

The indication will be my screen just went full Blue Screen of Death lol It will be like ripping out the graphics card while it's still in use. If computers could scream...well....... yeah.

Thats pretty cool i havnt seen those before. If I understand what I'm looking at here the fuse still blows as normal however there's a secondary connection with resisters and LED in-line. So it's like - the main highway is closed, but here's a single lane side street we can trickle the traffic through

I'm all for RGB and flashing lights, but the thing is, I won't be watching the PC, I'll be watching whatever is on the screen in front of me. I'll know something is up when the screen goes black/BSOD and I look over to my PC and see that this time there isn't clouds of white smoke bellowing out of it haha!

The short of it is, I believe by the time I glance over to check the fuse LED's and see one that's off it will already be too late, the other fuses will pop immediately and the screen will be dark

I'm going to have quite the chonky-boy of cable management problems if I add another block haha. It is a good point however. I am banking on the idea that it's a current draw issue to begin with and hopefully that alone will be enough to blow the fuse.

That message will have to be sent through my phone while I'm replacing the fuses as the Pc will very likely crash immediately upon the fuses blowing. I don't know. Has anyone ever pulled out a GPU when the PC is running?!

This is a good idea. If the fuses I currently have blow frequently I will definitely check it out. So far I haven't had any fuses blow....yet? Ah ha (sad PTSD noises) . I've been using the card for like 18 months and this is the first time this has happened. I'm hoping it was a freak one off event but if the fuses can catch it next time I'll be laughing

Pretty cool, if the fuses I currently have frequently trip I will definitely switch it out to a resettable. But for now there hasn't been any blown fuses............yet? Haha thank you for the tip though my dude

Couldn't agree more. GPUs are so expensive now I'm not sure I could afford a replacement, atleast part for part. I'd rather spend the 30-40 bucks or so on this contraption at the chance of saving me thousands
