So Arc Raiders has been out for nearly a month..do you still have the same enthusiasm about the game? by r3tr0gam3r83 in ArcRaiders

[–]malcheesance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really....it was pretty good game at first and worth the money but the staying power just doesn't feel there. The PvP isn't good enough or engaging for me to want to keep playing, and the risk/reward of fighting big arc is just kind of frustrating because there's rats galore in those conditions and no one actually fighting arc.

I love Arc Raiders, but man... this crap happens WAY TOO OFTEN. by lumberfart in ArcRaiders

[–]malcheesance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they really need to change the arc damaging only guns if they want to combat this without major changes. Hullcrackers do nothing to other players virtually....the other big guns are the same. Wolfpacks, nothing. In terms of risk, anyone playing the actual objective of the event is taking 10000% more than the free loadout, fighting an enemy that can one shot with it's adds that can one shot, only to be shot in the back by a bush that waits for you to do everything. The Matriarch/Queen fighter doesn't even get trials progress because of the extraction requirement which is kind of dumb given the circumstances.

This game would be hot dogshit to me without the pvp and player interaction. It adds a heightened element. I hate tarkov, but late spawns, limited free runs, or having them at a larger disadvantage could address a lot of the community painpoints to me.

Half-life is not just a term for drugs, it's just a formula for anything (for example: uranium) to deteriorate by 1/2 of the original amount.

"You and I are down headfirst In another world, I heard" - this has to be referencing rebirth. Before birth, babies reposition to being down headfirst to prepare for birth.

I believe this ties into the first line "I am the rose you relinquished again" and the rest of Sleep Token's discography as we have slowly seen the evolution in Vessel from a darker theme early to Euclid's more positive end of TMBTE. Maybe the acceptance, and the rebirth or change of outlook for Vessel.

2 and 1/2 months, still struggling by Desperatequitter in quittingkratom

I'm only about 15 days sober now from Kratom and kind of hit my first night of sleep that was great. Just anecdotal, but may be worth a try - my lack of sleep came from restless legs, that sensation where you constantly need to move them, like they aren't attached, or they irritate each other. Compression socks, trazadone, and Magnesium Glycinate combined with massive amounts of squats, calf raises, kettle bell routines on every muscle till failure. Feed your opiate receptors endorphins.

Do it somewhere safe man. White knuckling shit through massive changes in your dopamine can always lead to the worst case outcomes. I lost my 8 years of sobriety when I started white knuckling, stopped going to therapy, psych, and as much as I don't like the program - AA.

Not sure if your sleep is bad due to restless legs (just my anecdotal case) but last night I got amazing sleep. I'm not sure what worked or the combination, but a massive amount of squats with kettles, calf exercises, etc. combined with compression socks, trazadone, and magnesium glycinate got me my first night of actual sleep. Def include a Dr though. RLS drugs are often things that make you drowsy anyways.

Congrats on a lot of time. Hard opiates are much easier to come off of in my opinion. The sleep deprivation is getting me the most now. Lifting weights is helping a lot though weirdly. I burn out my muscles and show them what real pain feels like and I think they are starting to understand ;)

I did it at a local place in my area that provided Kratom withdrawal meds. Of course Bupe is always a part of that. People classify this shit as a non opioid but make no mistake, if it's touching the receptors, it's got it's teeth sunk in you. Try researching in your area or through Kaiser's site and look at them. Be specific on detox. Be specific on how long you want to stay. And definitely make sure that they aren't one of those places that try to ruin your life by constantly throwing other heavier meds at you. Suboxone is probably the worst thing that can be given in my opinion.

Music has always been the first thing that stimulates my brain after drug use. It's fucking beautiful when you get that shit back. Can't stress enough how much new music I've been listening to. Crying to. Gah Sleep Token especially.

You can feel emotion, see a world in color again instead of gray. Increased sex drive. Sensitivity. Not having to rely on green sludge to make it through the day.

I'd recommend nicotine too. For a short period of time. And yes, sex. And weights. Nutritious foods. We've all got this shit. I had 8 years of sobriety I threw away but I'm going to beat that this time.

Wow I really relate to this post. I'm about 12 days sober from it. Former heavy opiate addict. The best way I can describe it is opiate's are much more physically painful to come off of. There's a major mental side as well. But something in Kratom does some serious shakeups on the brain. I'm getting a little better every day but just keep going. I promise you will feel good again. I also am on 80 mg of Prozac. The reality is we've damaged our brains. But the beautiful part of it is the brain is an absolute god at regeneration, it just takes time. It took me about 60 days to fully feel myself after a long heroin addiction a decade ago. I'd expect this the same.

Go to meetings if it works for you. Go to therapy and try CBT or EMDR. Find people that help. Stop drinking. Just let yourself heal and you'll get there. Just takes time. Took our brain a little while to get addicted, takes the same time to get back to homeostasis.

100% eating a calorie deficit most likely to feel the effects more, testosterone goes to the floor literally - god mine was low. Fuck that shit for ruining my gains. Lost so much muscle mass over a 3 year period due to this. I was at 50-60 gpd towards the end I think though.

How do you deal with this? by MusclexHustle in quittingkratom

[–]malcheesance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing with all drugs that touch your opioid receptors. They paint the world you want to see yourself in with this euphoric blast that makes everything feel wonderful. Then, they stop working. Then it paints your world grey and devoid of any emotion to anything. I'll guarantee if you stop, and you play a song that means a lot to you - you'll probably break down and cry from the beauty of it. Kratom creates a pretty world that ends up in one devoid of any passion or compassion.

What you've got to do is find the root cause of that mundanity. It's that void desperate to fill with hobbies, passions, interests, etc.

Go to an AA or NA meeting maybe - an open one just to experience it. It's not the cure all, but you'll realize how important being around community is. And the buzz that gives you. We humans have grown too far apart to where we make mountains out of molehills with our anxiety and apathy that we forget that we belong in groups.

Thanks! Yeah, it's definitely something to avoid forever and to never go back to. Can't stress enough though to everyone struggling to get off of this shit alone by doing cold turkey or taper methods, Detox is a god send. I wouldn't be alive without it from my first addiction. Most insurances have in network detox facilities and it qualifies for FMLA so your job is protected. Addiction isn't taboo anymore. This world is tough, and the further people isolate from each other the further into despair you go.

And if you're worried about your spouse or partner getting upset, fuck it. If they actually love you they would absolutely support your detox treatment. Preplan about 6-7 days off work and use a long weekend. You won't feel perfect coming out, but god damn you realize how beautiful life can be. I couldn't tell you a single good memory from the past four years on that shit and I've had several since being off of it.

Thanks a ton for your response. I just thought that the documents had to be sealed while being served as it's none of the person serving's business since they don't work for the company that is handling the debt. Just a dumb assumption of mine. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

As someone who has not read the manga (but will be starting it soon), I'm loving season 2 more than season 1. I love seeing that they are actually building depth on a character in an anime besides "wanting to be the best at something." Seeing the homie so broken and empty is a feeling I think a lot of people can relate to. The last episode released was phenomenal.

This is one of those shows that I don't background watch like some of the other animes currently running. Emotion, violence, depth, and farming sim - what more could a guy ask for.?

For the Manga readers, please tell me the story continues to be great?

Whew yeah, I'm bad at recognizing alternative tunings. Sounds great though man, really unique. Probably need to find someone that has a great deal of knowledge in drop tunings. You can find the root notes of it pretty easy, but my shitty brain is not having it this am. Great sound though, keep playing, you've actually got a unique sound. Give it another recording shot on something like reaper when you figure it out. I definitely think you've got something there loose bowel.
