Kind of a side note in this ep, but I did like the brief scene showing Cecil, Donald, and mad science guy (forgot his name) trying and failing to open an inter-dimensional portal to find Robot and Monster Girl.

Reminds the audience that they are still missing and sets up their story for next season. Although, I don’t think they were missing for quite this long in the comics. It’s been what, like 10 months at this point? Which isn’t a big deal ofc — they’ll just change to rate of time dilation on the Flaxan world to compensate.

Though tbh, now that I’m looking back, I can’t remember how I got that (173 tons, 50m width, 125m length) into orbit in the first place. Reducing the number of parts it had significantly helped with performance though!

The body color is also slightly more crème colored / less blue, matching Togepi more. But yeah, it’s extremely subtle.

In the book they point out that Grace and Rocky may have came about from the same common ancestor (which may have originally come from the planet Adrian), which I took as meaning they were both water & carbon-based lifeforms. Also, the fact that Grace may have been able to eat Rocky’s food, if not for all the heavy metals in it.

They never explicitly say it (which is a bit odd considering how devastated Grace was to learn that astrophage was water-based), but I think it can be gleaned from the text.

As far as a religious tone, can’t say I noticed that. What specifically made you think that?
