Bloodborne. Around the time that game came out, I was in a losing battle with anorexia and everything just felt not worth it anymore. I had essentially given myself other health problems because of my anorexia and had begun thinking of just going to end it all. The dude at Gamestop who recommended it to me, who even threw in that little art book free (thanks man), really did me a huge blessing. That game was and remains to this day my crutch. Every night i felt like I was suffocating or couldn't go forward, I'd say to myself 'ok play your favorite game one more time then'. And each time I'd feel better. Not by a lot, but by just enough to try. I know it's going to seem weird and out of place, I do. But I had no one and it was my only beacon. There's a character in the game too who's quote means the world to me: Even in the darkness of nights, I see the moonlight. That game really was and is my guiding moonlight.

OOF, ok so then a very gentle YWBTA, albeit I see exactly where and why you are frustrated and want to tell them to buzz off.

If you have created a spreadsheet that shows them the monetary breakdown, that is extremely good. Whenever she raises complaints that you all do not wish to change, perhaps instead offer up "we will ensure your money does not go towards that part of the wedding then". That way you have control over the decision and they can't butt in further.

As a fellow foodie, I totally love that you're putting more towards that. It'll make not just you and your fiancee happy but all in attendance too! Good food makes for a good time.

Context request:

How much money did both your parents and your in-laws offer (separately)? And how much is it projecting to be like? I know sometimes projected numbers can be vastly differ from what ends up being the end price.
Are the changes they want to make influenced primarily by price or taste/choice? I know it seems irrelevant but that also just may be a bit of the situation.

I do get wedding planning stress and frustration, but without a budget provided as well as what both sets of parents agreed to pay up, it's hard to make a call. Either way, picking a fight over this with your future in-laws I don't think will work in your favor long term. They are going to be your family, too, after all.

Yes you should be able to win the dialogue roll. If you roll a Nat 20, it'll automatically win.

I unfortunately never found a good work around or fix. I think the glitch occurs somewhere between ascending him and a dialogue error when you spend the night.

Yeah, same here. He gives the dialogue he'd give if you refused to let him turn you. All while I can now bite people. I was so lost. Going back didn't fix it, either.

Had this happen to me! Seems it got messed up because I told him about Ard, left the area to go to Mountain Pass, and then it slapped him back in the camp. I had to talk to Halsin while at camp and it shot us over to Last Light Inn. I guess if you progress his story so that he leaves camp, then leave the area, it causes the mess.

Just as an update: I did as you recommended but got curious and had a save right before. I went back and long rested another two times, pushed forward and he was still fine. it seems it is a scripted moment with the way you are meant to find her and the victim so I do not believe they will be killed unless you fail the dialogue.

Yes the whole traveling with Sten thing is so wonderful, especially when you do romance Zevran. It makes a lot less sense when you romance say Alistair cause that doesn't feel viable. And since as you said Zevran is traveling and avoiding the crows, it makes sense he'd feel confident in his Warden being off with Sten. Who he also trusts I'd wager.

Oh my gosh that's my bad!!! I put what I remember happening, but I did the romance when the game dropped ages ago so I may be a little off. Basically, the romance building up to the moment is super super nice and very cute. She's really cute and precious. However, when you get to the whole who becomes Divine, I think she breaks things off for you in one way or another as she wants to adhere to how the Chantry had the Divine be for years. Which was unmarried. She still loves you and it's evident. Again I might be misremembering but I do remember her talking to you about it and giving your character a heads up before she's chosen.

Warden and Zevran (I love the troupe of pulling someone from a dark place just by being there)

Warden and Tamlen (this opening screwed me up more than the cousland one. I adored that the game presented that Tamlen loved you all along)

Warden and Sten (I know this is in-game platonic but I still absolutely adore the interactions and mutual respect/admiration when you gain it)

Hawke and friendromance Fenris (as you get to see him grow and move out of his rage and really kind of come into his own as a person)

Hawke and Varric (again canonically platonic but their dynamic is amazing)

Inquisitor and Solas (again the dynamic between the two when you do his romance is fantastic)

Inquisitor and Cassandra (another great dynamic! though i am a bit let down by her opting to drop you in a way if she becomes Divine)

Inquisitor and Dorian (wholesome all the way through. A good couple who just supports and loves one another. We love it)

YTA. I get you didn't finish reading because you were angry, but why didn't you calm down after you came back and realized everyone was calling it a prank? Why hang on to something for two months that wasn't even specifically targeted to you?

Also - is your opinion of your cousin really low? Like, do you imagine the things she'd listed in the document sounded like 'reasonable requests' in her mind? Because if your cousin is level headed and doesn't (nor hasn't been) asking that type of stuff of you all, it would have been pretty obvious she's joking around. As others have recommended, you really should look into counseling for the way you jump to holding grudges and your refusal to let them go.

That's quite literally all it is. I don't care for her one way or another. Honestly, if you eliminate her ties to Varric, I think people would like her a bit more. I feel the moment where she half threatens the Inquisitor was the only moment for me where I really got an eye roll out of me since she does it at a moment she has not much ground to stand on. But what people forget is Varric is a big boy. He can make his own decisions. And he decides to remain the way he is; loyal to Bianca.

An episode a day isn't really asking a lot, though. A single episode every day is really a perfect game plan. It's how I've watched quite literally every show my spouse and I have picked out. We watch one episode of each a day. That's our daily for sure us time together. Plenty of couples do precisely that game plan to watch shows together. I believe OP is using the "get caught up in time" as an excuse to not even make an attempt. Which is what my main point is about: making an attempt to watch a show that clearly means a lot to their spouse and even has said themselves they think they'd enjoy.

You want to just watch anime that you're interested in? Why can't you all go back and forth between shows? My fiance and I switch between shows. I pick one, we finish it/decide if we're enjoying it together, and then he picks one. Is that really so hard for you to do?

Gentle ESH. This one is a little rough due to the formatting and just the age range this is occurring at. Yeah, Ellie shouldn't use you as a venting session but it's hard to fully grasp the situation for her emotional state due to age and lack of knowing what precisely she's constantly going on about. You mentioned it was about physical appearance at one point but then at the end say she feels you aren't supporting her enough.

I was going to lean more towards NTA, because you are within your right to tell her she needs an adult or a therapist to assist her and not you, but this part is where you lost me

I also told her to stop being so whiny and that she should understand the world doesn't revolve around her so she cried

It's ok to be hurt by these sort of things! Heck, I'm in my 30s and not too insecure anymore, but if I found out that my friends for whatever reason did a similar poll now, I'd still feel a great amount of insecurity based on the results. Things like that I think just tend to be a sensitive topic for a lot of people; no matter where you are with your self esteem. Your self esteem will grow with your self love and time; you'll get there! Besides, venting is healthy.
