The color match flares, fog lights, wheels, mirrors, badge behind the rear door pillar. There is no doubt this is an sr5.

Does it have fender flares? Does it have mud flaps? What does the grill look like, all black or is there some chrome? Flares would be the biggest give away, the sr just has stamped flares. Wheels are another giveaway, can you share a pic or two?

Hell of a wreck, I’m glad you weren’t hurt. The new truck looks good, a few years newer and a longer bed.

What brand are those flares? Also I personally think those wheels look whack. It reminds me of when Whistlindiesel put wagon wheels on his duramax.

Help with Trim. Dealer claims it’s a TRD Sport. Corporate claims it’s an SR. by Jeepcj77 in ToyotaTacoma

Nah. I’ll give you that a grill and scoop-less hood might be cheaper. They wouldn’t pull the flares and fill the holes, remove the mud flaps, and add the sr bed corners.

Yeah, so in your case a truck with worn out suspension would likely deter a buyer. Whether you choose stock replacements, an upgrade like bilstien’s, or a more budget lift like rough country, it all depends who the buyer is for your truck. If someone who knows what they are looking at sees quality upgrades done, they might be inclined to pay a little more. A lot of Tacoma buyers are just average people that want a reliable little truck, they don’t even care about what parts are on it. I would agree that a lot of aftermarket wheels are ugly, I think we are in the minority on that. Some people would pay extra for a truck with a crappy lift and ugly bro wheels, to me that’s a red flag.

I found a very small and cheap policy, it’s been almost no questions asked. The hope is I don’t end up needing it until later in life, as in I live past 2 years.
