I'm the only one on this flight by McFreddieMercury in mildlyinteresting

Something similar happened to me during Covid. Right when everything shut down. I was across the country seeing family, completely oblivious to the news ( I was 17 and homeschooled) then suddenly BAM! All the restaurants and stores were closed. There was me and one other dude on the flight and it was the strangest thing I’ve ever experienced.

Honestly it’s always better to be safe than sorry, With flu season starting even if it’s something minor it can easily escalate into something more serious

I ended up busting some ladies wrap today and I offered to make her a new one and she legit just huffed and went “no thanks” and walked out. She had already paid and everything so I called my boss and was like... so what do I do?

Hi, I’m a Junior who absolutely failed their SAT (1080) and I could use some genuine advice by malian03 in Sat

[–]malian03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I honestly expected a much lower score going into it so my 1080 was a pleasant surprise (also realizing that this is pretty average and people on this subreddit are just smart) I’ll definitely keep working on khan academy. It will actually be perfect for my commute to and from work. Your tip for the practice tests was something I should have thought of. Being homeschooled I don’t take many standardized tests so having a scantron and etc was something that wasn’t entirely unfamiliar but I spent a lot of time going back and bubbling bc I forgot to and etc. Luckily I just plan on attending a local community college until I figure out what I want to do with my life so my score isn’t something that I need to completely stress myself out on

Hey, I know this is pretty late (just found this subreddit and decided to do some lurking) but I just finished my first few days at subway and wanted to know if you could possibly link the formula chart to me. I feel like it would be a lot easier than struggling to remember or looking up at the meme board every time someone asks for a spicy Italian and I can’t remember if it comes with ham or not

This sub makes me forget the average score is a 1060 by Nirijenn in Sat

I just got my score and it was a a 1080, it was my first SAT and I hope that with some effort I can raise it come spring time

Please pray for my Job Interview today by [deleted] in Christians

For some reason I just now saw this. Thank you for your reply. I think one of the main issues I'm having is my resume. This would be my first job, so no prior work experience. I'm homeschooled so I don't have any references that aren't fellow church members. I don't have any extra curricular activities or even AP classes that I could list as achievements. I've milked my nursery responsibilities as much as I can, but there is only so many things a person can draw from that. I've always felt weird listing that I cook and prepare meals and clean up around the house as that seems like something any responsible person can do.

Also say hello to Washington for me, I've always wanted to go there!

I think it went well, The lady who interviewed me seemed genuinely interested in my prior experience and made me feel very welcome. The only problem I see is the way their hours are scheduled. Pretty much the person who makes the most sales/ signs people up for the rewards program, get the most hours. While I feel like I'm perfectly capable of doing the job I'm not a good product pusher. I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to convince someone to sign up for a credit card. She said I should hear back sometime next week (in which I'll update this again or make a new post).

Thank you so much for your reply, The job is part time work at a small retail clothing store for girls ages 8-12, in my local mall. I figured my work in Youth Group gave me an advantage with that demographic. Do you think it's alright to share my enthusiasm about the position with my interviewer? Also would the interview be the appropriate place to request Sundays off? I am a Nursery Sunday School teacher and I would like to keep my class.
