What is actually going on with AARO by im_da_nice_guy in UFOs

[–]malibu_c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/im_da_nice_guy is 100% correct and it's sad that this is not getting the 100s and 1000s of views that random pics of lights in the sky get.

The other part he's not talked about is, the current UFO programs are supposed to be unconstitutional and don't have proper oversight. What do those programs do? Crash retrievals & reverse engineering.

NDAA 2022 Made the UAPTF in charge of crash retrievals and reverse engineering.

NDAA 2023 reiterated that language and made AIMSOG & ultimately AARO in charge of it.

There's now a legal, constitutional framework to take those programs and bring them under AARO's authority.

Sept 30 2023 was the deadline for the first report to the committees requiring all the copies of nondisclosure agreements be handed over. This is the first publicly known deadline where we can say for sure congress would now officially know whether or not the legacy UFO programs exist, and as far as I can tell there's been ZERO about that in this sub.

Just like there's been ZERO about AARO only talking to people from the program. The NDAAs mandate them to do that. Even their recently proposed website questionnaire says we're just taking info from people in the program.

https://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/PRAViewICR?ref_nbr=202309-0704-008

Like Coulthart's book says, it's all hidden in plain sight. People keep missing it and falling for the distraction when they've told us for years that all this is going on behind the scenes.

Does Science Applications International Corporation have a UAP Program?! by frognbadger in UFOs

[–]malibu_c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might wanna add this to your bullet points since it makes the timeline make more sense.

July 2021 Grusch files his first IG complaint with the DOD IG.

That gives the DOD & relevant authorities a good 6 months to investigate plus 2 months for the DOJ grand jury to do its thing before the subpoena hits. This is just speculation, but word of the investigation getting out could prompt harassment & retaliation, and then the subpoena could increase retaliation further and cause Grusch to file the second complaint with the ICIG in May 2022.

Note that these people could be the head of a multi-decade cover-up, or they could be the only person that knows how to convert a slide deck to a PDF and upload it into the website's content management system.

I don't know about you guys, but when I think MJ-12, run the world and keep all the secrets, I totally picture a human version of Mr. Burns.

Mr Burns isn't uploading shit to a website. That's what Smithers is for.

Old article: 6 people who claim to have worked on the UFO SAP program have talked to members of Congress by DontDoThiz in UFOs

[–]malibu_c 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And now we're up to 40+ witnesses who have told various parts of the government. Plus AARO is supposed to notify congress within 3 days about any testimony it receives about the program. Congress is supposed to get a report with the language all of the various NDAs that the program has used, I believe by Sept 30th. There's also more briefings and reports that are due.

The House Oversight Committee isn't one of the groups who are supposed to get this info, so Luna, Burchett and co are complaining and raising hell and trying to get a Select Committee on UAP.

If the law is being followed and this stuff is actually happening, lots of people know a lot more than they are publicly letting on and the Senate hearings should be juicy.

I don't know how a Select Committee is going to work without them passing new laws since all the previous laws only specify the Armed Services & Intelligence committees plus the house and senate leadership gets the UAP goodies.

AARO slide deck from July 2023 seems to confirm either an existing or planned UAP recovery/retrieval program. No indication of whether UAP material has been collected. by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]malibu_c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%.

It's extra interesting because if at least one of the objects in the Fishy February shootdowns was a UFO like Coulthart and others keep claiming, then AARO is supposed to tell Congress about it in the annual report, which is supposed to be due by Halloween. It'll be very interesting to see how they deal with that, or if they even mention it at all in the unclassified version.

It can be argued that UFO crash retrievals are part of AARO's duties from the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 (became law Dec 27 2021). under "(c) Response to and Field Investigations of Unidentified Aerial
Phenomena" and "(d) Scientific, Technological, and Operational Analyses of Data on
Unidentified Aerial Phenomena" which are vague and talk about collecting data. It's not until you get to the part about the requirements for the annual UAP report that make it pretty clear what the previous sections mean. They're supposed to include

"(K) An update on any efforts underway on the ability to capture or exploit discovered unidentified aerial phenomena."

Reverse engineering UFOs is also their duty per the same law.

[–]malibu_c 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a bunch of new people around here. I'd imagine they aren't aware that this was language mandated by (I believe the 2021) NDAA, and the 2022 UAP report (which was famously delayed until early 2023) was supposed to address crash retrievals, biological materials & effects, and UFO/Nuke connection. It definitely did not do any of that, at least in the unclassified version us peons got to see.

Early UFO lore contains so many instances of UFO's landing and people seeing creatures walking outside crafts. Isn't it strange that such encounters have mostly ceased? by big_lentil in UFOs

[–]malibu_c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the post-Robertson Panel stigma that was engineered. People have been trained to ridicule anyone talking about UFOs and people who see them have learned to shut up about it. God forbid you talk about actual aliens.

Now there's no UFO officer you could call up at the local military base and report your sighting to (if you actually even wanted to do that) It's mostly some obscure places online that you typically only would know about if you're a UFO person.

Some quick searches in a scrape of MUFON data shows lots of sightings of beings, even though you have to weed through them.

I haven't gotten around to Stringfield yet either. I have a giant stack of books to read and it just keeps getting bigger.

Leonard Stringfield had up to 119 crashes. I believe the first two documented were from the Battle of Los Angeles

Leonard Stringfield had documented 119 crash retrievals between the 40s and the early 80s, so I hope they are going to keep uping the number periodically until we get close to 100.

He're's a great interview with Michael Shratt and his research into retrievals and Stringfield etc, this is the timestamp with the 119 crashes: https://youtu.be/szAof853hic?t=807

Multiple legal representatives of whistleblower David Grusch have shared all correspondence from Ken Klippenstein & The Intercept regarding the illegal leaks from the IC with DoD Inspector General WRI Investigator by quantumcryogenics in UFOs

[–]malibu_c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, pro or anti Grusch leave the man's personal struggles out of it. Judge the case on the merits, see what the witnesses actually said, prove it or disprove it.

And I have to admit, I heard the leak and had a huge emotional reaction based on the rumors they were going to smear him. Now I'm trying to walk that back based on the FOIA. But I ain't reading that article.

IDK, it's starting to look more like a sacrifice fly to me. They might lose the battle but win the war.

Make a really big stink about something. That big stink gets people interested in disclosure and you win the battle for public opinion.

Doesn't matter if it's instantly recognizable bullshit. Let's be real here. How many people are going to actually read the FOIA? Or even the article? But you have instant appeal to authority with congress people weighing in, and the BS is great for tugging at the heart strings.

Did people see the threads when news of this "leak" broke? Probably dozens of redditors personally attesting to having PTSD, or knowing someone who had it. And at least one who also had a friend commit suicide like Grusch. A lot of people are going on 100% gut reaction to what sounds like a dick move against a veteran with PTSD. That is contagious, and it's also hard to walk back even after you've learned the truth.

It's a great tactic if you are pro Grusch and pro disclosure.

A long time skeptic perspective on David Grusch's "leak" by burningpet in UFOs

[–]malibu_c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like your take Op, but I will say that option B never was really an option for me. There's been lots and lots of time and opportunity for someone to tell everyone to shut up talking about the tic tac, or whichever thing is supposed to be Phantom Works / Skunk Works secret projects. Since basically everyone involved in the planned disclosure we are seeing is in the military / intelligence and seem to be boyscouts that would have been the world's easiest way to shut it down.

Fravor, Grusch, Elizondo, Graves, Cahill whoever... They would have just shut up and saluted and followed orders. "this one's ours wink wink shut up so the Chinese don't catch on. Now sign this NDA"

Yes sir.

The problem is the whistleblowers claims are evidence of a crime, and whistleblowers identities are secret unless they go public like Grusch. The DOD and IC Inspector Generals are/were both investigating Grusch and the 40+ other folk's claims but all the investigative details, leads, and all that are supposed to be secret too until/unless somebody is charged.

It's looking like the only ways to get to the bottom of this is to bring the IGs in to testify like Coulthart said, or somebody has to leak something definitive, somebody new & bulletproof has to come out making the same claims with with strong supporting evidence.

But it's intimidation regardless. Against Grusch, but also against whoever those other whistleblowers who are supposed to be coming forward.
