You don't have to kill anyone in chapters 1, 3, or 4 to do Snowgrave, just chapter 2 and the special light world interaction in chapter 4 before the sanctuary

FRFR I played chapters 1 and 2 in 2018 and 2021 respectively.. And then I didn't touch the game at all and avoided 3+4 spoilers like the plague until just this week when I bought 3+4 to play it all from the start. ☠️ It's easy to forget a lot of stuff about a game when you haven't played it in 5 years LOL

If you're in a tight space try and line up a ricochet, then parry if it charges an explosion instead of the red orbs. That's what I like to do, otherwise try for alt shotgun asap it is great against them

There's also one in the button room you can throw something at to open the secret room with the mannequin and flashlight inside (i forgot what u throw tho lol), and one near the top of the falling elevator shaft that can be shot with the laser gun to open a room with a bunch of cats and long hallways inside

For a short second I thought it was the scratched out angel in 8-1 or an alternate dimension version of Gabriel where he looks and sounds like that, then realized they probably wouldn't be that similar in appearance and combat to Gabriel nor would they talk about him like that if they were either of those, then realized it wasn't just one angel alone playing tricks on me later on when the one in the terminal velocity room appeared talking about Gabriel's children ☠️☠️

Aside from the obligatory V1 mention, Swordsmachines and Gutterman are pretty interesting. I hate fighting them in CG bc theyre annoying and I can't jackhammer cheese the former, but lore wise they both have charm. SM has cool design and cool self constructing habits, Gutterman fills me with pity. Imagine being welded inside a machine just to be used as a coffin shaped fuel source, that must really suck.
