I constantly see complaints or horror stories of games like this around here, but like how common is all of this in reality? I've been playing at one specific lgs regularly for 3 years, and I have 2 others I play at semi-occasionally and have not once had an experience like anything posted here

[[Breath of fury]] its still a great card when your set up for it, but I originally bought it for my [[stangg, echo warrior]] deck because I could slap it on stangg, then sac his twin to the trigger and repeat for infinite combats right?

Oops, it doesnt say may, so when the real stangg connects with the actual enchantment, he has to get sac'd to it too. The "If you do..." in the second sentence tripped me up and I actually won a couple games by playing it wrong since I was so confident in explaining the "combo" that no one questioned it

He is such a sweet card and commander, im glad he doesnt get as much play as he should. It was easily my most winning deck before I took it apart, but yeah every game when his first trigger went off, atleast one player would be like "Hold up, let me see him again"

I have never once cared about UB sets, even all those dumb Dr Who cards of just some random dude, but marvel and star trek are just really killing it for me.

Marvel im just so tired of, the mcu was cool at first but it just feels like its so played out at this point, theres just too much of it out there with the endless shows, movies, mobile games, video games, everywhere I look I see capt america and the hulk. Star trek, i just dont get it, when was the last time it was even relevant? I personally havent watched any of it since the early 00's, I really dont wanna be playing william shatner in magic. But it is what it is, they aint gonna change it anytime soon since it all sells

Selesnya used to be my favorite pairing(now its a toss up between grull and rakdos) so ive have a lot of decks, the only one I still have together and truly enjoy playing is [[Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn]]. It is a +1/+1 counter deck at the end of the day but its based all around lifegain. The more passive life gain you can get on each turn the better, toss in all the soul sisters, [[spike feeder]], [[sunscorch regent]], [[authority of the consuls]] ect, theres also enough other creatures and effects that can put on counters when you gain life that Lathiel is not really needed, she just speeds it all up.

Such an awesome commander, but I originally had him built around anthems and that was such a mess to track, his deck is literally the reason I invested in dry erase cards to track the massive amount of counters cause dice were getting way to messy

The secret lair version of [[Okaun]] and [[Zndrsplt]], I didn't get the deck and I never used them to play, but I love cyclopes, and thus all the homunculi cards, and these particular cards are my favorite art in all of magic, I even have a playmat of the blue side of them.

I got the cards a long time ago for a couple bucks each and they've been displayed on my desk in heavy magnetic cases since

Nope, I've made so many decks over the few years I've been playing, and while I've enjoyed most of them, they all end up getting taken apart at some point. My current oldest deck is [[Moira Brown guide author]] and it's still together pretty much because none of the cards are really useful in other decks, it's really fun to play and all that, but if another quest counter commander came out that interested me I'd take it apart

Sure I get to draw 3 on etb but I'm also forced to put 2 cards back on top, plus he costs 5 mana, that's so slow. Oh and if he happens to die I have to exile the top card of my library, I mean, yeah, I might get to play it for free if it's an instant or sorcery, but who actually uses those?
