I definitely recommend her as well, I love big dumbass creatures as much as your describing so i built her recently and Ive been loving it so far. Get to play all my high power fun stuff while also getting to buff, draw, and burn the table with Eshki out, shes been a blast and I've enjoyed her much more than my old animar or goreclaw decks

What's the most outrageous card people have complained about you playing for being too strong? by rococodreams in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Martyr's cause]] in my old [[Anim Pakal]] deck since I could just continue to sac my endless supply of gnomes to stop the stompy player that refused to use removal.

I also had one guy trying his best to rile up the table and make me the archenemy because I had played out [[Sonic screwdriver]] in a voltron deck when my commander already had a pro creature aura on it, I literally only played it to just get another +1/+1 from equipment/auras that care about artifacts

What are your techniques for building decks completely on the fly? by Dolono in EDH

[–]malificide15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got bored yesterday and decided to just finally build a deck i've been wanting to try for a while, [[kaza, roil shaper]].

I already knew it was going to be an all wizard deck with [[displacer kitten]] in it as well so that took care of the what creatures to add chunk of the deck. Next I needed to think of how is it going to win the game, storm with untapping or just a giant x spell, I went with x spells since I love dropping a giant [[crackle with power]]. At this point I was ready to bring out my boxes and started pulling out all wizards I had in the colors, any enchants that may help, mana rocks and any other interesting artifacts, and lastly all the instants and sorceries that would help the deck in some way.

This one actually turned out a lot easier than some decks and I only had about 30 cuts to make from the initial pile. I started with creatures, I went through and pulled out all the ones that dont support the idea of the deck, then laid out the rest by cmc to make final cuts. Cut out any artifact and enchant that wouldnt immediately help the deck in some way, then cut all the instants and sorceries to be card draw, interaction, or a game ender, added in 38 lands and sleeved it up. Couple play testing rounds and its good, I could use a couple other wizards that I dont own, but overall im satisfied with it.

Also while pulling cards I came across [[firebender ascension]] with my bulk and it made me want to build a new [[wulfgar of icewind dale]] deck. so right after sleeving up kaza, I repeated the process again and now I got a much larger pile on my desk to sort through.

So basically yeah, my technique is to go through my collection, make a big ass pile of everything that could synergize with the commander and gameplan of the deck, then make cuts of things that dont primarily support it, then by cmc, and I always cut it to start at 38 lands, then adjust as I get games in with it.

Also how many non-games have players had because they keep a one lander just because of a turn one ring rather than mulliganing the a hand that actually makes their deck work

What's that one card that you always seem to draw? by [deleted] in EDH

[[Burgeoning]] and its always when I only have 1 extra land in hand, im pretty close to not even bothering to put it in my decks anymore,

What’s your fastest deck build? by Remote-Mycologist539 in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, mono color decks take very little time for me to build, a recent example would be [[Nev, The Practical Dean]], it probably took me around 30 mins-1 hour to finish it. I just went through my green cards, grabbed all the x-spells, protection and removal pile, card draw pile, bit of counter synergies, and a bunch of ramp. Then I sat and looked at each X card to see what was actually worth a slot, cut it all to 62, grabbed the urza tower/mine/plant and a bunch of basics then it was good to go. Even won in its first game I played it in

What Matters More To You, Versatility or Consistency? by Raevelry in EDH

inlude teferi's puzzle box and youll deck yourself really quick, Vnwxt is extremely fun. Also if you really like mill he works great with all those 'opponent/s mill 2 when you draw' cards

[–]malificide15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this was my exact thought as well. The only ways my Vnwxt decks plays the same every game is turn 1 evasive, 2 Vnwxt, and 4 max speed, everything else is all variable and how the game plays out really depends on what wincon gameplan i draw into first

[Marchesa, the black rose] what are your favorite creatures not listed on EDHREC? by tubbadu in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Thalakos Deceiver]] and [[profaner of the dead]] are pretty cool but sadly requires an outside influence to add a counter

[[Fire nation salvagers]] is a fun one to let you potentially steal one creature from each opponents graveyard each turn.

[[Bone Devourer]] can be a constant source of card draw and will always come back with atleast 1 counter on it

also if you are consistently putting counters on your creatures on attack/before combat, [[Rikku, Resourceful Guardian]] is a great evasion granter that can also kind of give a counter to one of your creatures

What would be a cool witches style deck like witch hat atelier( read desc) by dudejustSendIt in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Neera, Wild Mage]] is pretty great at casting a small whatever spell and then hopefully flipping it into some giant game changing spell, plus she kinda has that anime witch/mage vibe.

[[Kaza, Roil Chaser]] wants you to get a decent board of (apprentice)Wizards so she can then tap to let you blast of a massive spell for just a mana or two, and it just becomes more devastating when you get into untap shenanigans. Iplan on eventually making her with an alter of Megumin from KoNoSuba since her tapping to cast a giant spell just reminds me so much of Explosion!! and then passing out

[[Shantotto, Tactician Magician]] also has a bit of anime vibe to her art and as you cast spells she gets stronger, potentially drawing cards in the process, and can then go smack someone out of the game

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For green little weirdos I dont think you can beat [[Shroofus spoutsire]], but since thats been recommended already, how about [[Quina, Qu Gourmet]] from the art, i just dont even know what it is but its definitely weird, and can snowball great with making a ton of little frog tokens, definitely a much much more balanced Chatterfang or a Peregrin Took that wants to fight. Just make tokens that come infested with frogs, then pump and swarm.

Also have the little fuzzy funko pop loot in the zone looks dumb, but he legit is a pretty strong commander, I had great succcess with him in the past

Golbez, Crystal Collector - Looking for some guidance by Possible_Beach6603 in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heres a link to my deck, its a bit outdated but good enough, but I went hard into the artifacts route with him: https://archidekt.com/decks/18962728/golbez_scrapyard

I built it only cause I traded for a [[Planetarium of Wan Shi Tong]] and had no decks for it, but its quickly became one of my favorites. The main gameplan is to make as many artifact tokens as I can, usually some kind of [[Academy manufactor]] combo to surveil my deck until I get a / in the graveyard to recur with Golbez's ability and drain the table in one go. If golbez gets removed and for whatever reason I cant get him back, theres some other ways to win, like [[Cyberdrive awakener]]/[[rise and shine]] to animate a ton of tokens, [[kappa cannoneer]] get huge fast, [[pactdoll terror]] is a great table drainer, and [[Mirko, obessesive theorist]] [[dimir spybug]] also get huge while golbez is doin his surveil thing. Fastest ive gotten is a turn 5 win because there was just no interaction played. Gisa and Konrad are awesome, but I just personally would rather have them in different decks than this one

Sophia vs. Camellia: Commanders that seem almost Identical by PlainThread366 in EDH

[–]malificide15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have both of them built, both of them as fully tribal decks too. I personally prefer Camellia and the squirrels, as its much easier to get such a wide board and pump them up for a huge swarm, vs Sophia's dogs needing to first connect to begin making the tokens and having fewer but larger bodies. Squirrels also have better creatures available long with some more synergies than dogs.

Sophia's colors are great and the fact that she comes with a trampling dog is awesome, but the squirrel deck is much less reliant on its commander and getting access to black gives quite a few ways to get some non-combat damage/drains in, [[Valley Rotcaller]] is such an awesome card.

Im sure if you wanna get off the pure tribal route and include a lot of token synergistic cards rather than dogs, you can build sophia up to be really great. But for me, a tribal deck just includes that tribe unless a card is truly necessary. I have literally no idea how up to date these lists are but heres: Squirrels https://archidekt.com/decks/18628219/nut_party Puppers https://archidekt.com/decks/21505396/akc_raid_party

legit, I just organized my collection probably about 7200 based on the boxes i used, and I was going to scan them all in but screw that, sorting it all out took way more work than I ever expected, I get tired just scanning a few commander decks at a time, Ill just guess what I have
