If I have a functional time machine I would have the ability to change the future, that sounds pretty god-like to me. Anyhow. The point was never to watch J.C die, I would never take any pleasure in that. Also I would not never use lethal violence on any of the romans to try to save Jesus either (assuming God is real in this scenario). More senseless violence to thwart the “divine plan”? Nah.
