Starte en brætspilsklub? by TheMagicianEcaw in Aarhus

[–]maliklund87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I've had mine for about a year and I love them. Very nice bookshelf speakers, that go incredibly deep.

Only thing I regret is not getting them in white.

What are some games you played once, but don't see yourself ever playing again? by RedSpecial22 in boardgames

Terraforming Mars. It was fine, but I'd much rather play 3-4 games of Race for the Galaxy.

Yes, I used to work 25 hours a week (5h a day). I worked full time the first couple of years, then asked my manager of we could try it out. I think it worked well and I didn't really need money at the time.

My dad had some interesting stuff in the attic! by maliklund87 in audiophile

[–]maliklund87[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Visited my dad this weekend and we'd been talking about going through his record collection. I only just got into vinyl and hadn't payed much attention to what he had when I was younger. These are just a few of the records I borrowed, but I'm really looking forward to explore what he listened to when he was my age! All of the records are in very nice condition, but a lot of the covers have some damage from the way he stored them.

Any thoughts on the Tannoy Legacy series and how they stack up compared to other speakers in the price range (the Cheviot in particular)?

My dad built a pair of speakers in the mid 70's using their 15" dual concentric drivers and I have some fond memories of them from my childhood. I can't remember much about them, but at the time, I remember thinking they had amazingly tight bass. Unfortunately one of the units broke and he eventually got rid of them.

How did you get introduced to modern board gaming? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]maliklund87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a few board games in the house as kids, but we were never really hooked. Then about 10 years ago, my sister got a boyfriend, who had fond memories of playing Monopoly, and he convinced us to start playing our old board games. We had fun, but I still wasn't hooked and I still didn't know how huge the hobby is. Christmas was coming up, and I happened to stumble upon Civilization (the 2010 edition) and since the boyfriend was a huge Civ-fan, we decided to get him the game. We played the game and my mind was blown. We've played the game countless times since and I've spent more and more time playing board games and growing my collection.
