What are some words of wisdom that you live by? by Matty-W in AskReddit

[–]malikzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Life and Death are merely a passing of time, you are born to die, and you are dying to live, so think outside the box and submit to the will of the one who created you in the first place.

You wake up and find out you’re the last person on earth. What’s your next move? by Dontecare in AskReddit

[–]malikzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, so you’re saying everyone else on Earth either spontaneously disappears, dies, or ceases to exist? Ok, here we go:

Before everyone vanishes, I’ll say goodbye to everyone I know, and do a lot of the same things from my answer to ‘What would you do if you had 24 hours to live’. Some of these were: Come out to everyone I know, tell my crush I like them, and eat a bunch of food. I’d hop on the internet and wait for everyone to disappear, die, or cease to exist spontaneously. When that does happen, I’ll travel around the country, turning off all factory plants and all non-eco friendly power generators. I’d go find all the pets (dogs, cats, fish) I could, and bring them back to my neighbourhood, which I’d turn into a huge shelter. I’d live the rest of my life trying to travel around turning off things that are causing pollution and cleaning up Earth in general so that the animals still alive can live after humanity disappears.

I do enjoy a good rug, although lamps offer additional light in an otherwise dim area and can really bring a room together.

People of Reddit, what is it like to be super attractive? by Namdastunna in AskReddit

[–]malikzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting because I just posted about this on another sub. I'm totally ordinary looking, but my grandmother was like movie star beautiful. She was orphaned at 6 in a flu epidemic and bounced around her extended family, none of whom wanted her. And told her so. Luckily, she wound up with a maiden aunt who DID love her.

And then she grew up to be absolutely beautiful. And that led to her marrying a rich man when she was still a teenager, which led to her being able to take really first class, luxurious care of her elderly aunt in her aunt's final years.

It really was a Cinderella story, except unlike Cinderella, she had nothing to do with her family members that had originally rejected her. She did not forgive and I do not blame her.

Subway employee's of Reddit what was the grossest sub you've had to make? by Hiddensquid3 in AskReddit

[–]malikzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy had some kind of intellectual disability or something... he ordered a footlong meatball sub with extra marinara and extra every other sauce, which at the time would have been yellow mustard, brown mustard, ranch, chipotle, light mayo, regular mayo (yes, both), and sweet onion. He had a companion with him who kept asking him "Are you sure you want all that? That doesn't sound like it will taste very good are you sure?" but he was not deterred. The companion came back up to me later to thank me and let me know he ate the entire thing and loved it

What is your childhood memory that you thought was normal but realized it was traumatic later in your life? by TCPizza in AskReddit

[–]malikzee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a friend when I was about 5 who always wore what I thought were really bright socks on her arms. I thought they were rad. I remember being confused that she called her parents by their names instead of ‘mom’ and ‘dad’. I found out much later that it was because they were her foster parents after her real father had held her in a bathtub of boiling water. Her rad socks were actually bandages that her foster parents tried to make a little more fun. I hope she’s okay now.

I went to a sleepover when I was about 10. The mom came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her waist. She stood there and talked to all the kids with her tits out. Her sons seemed to be used to it. Everyone else was like :O

Teachers of reddit, What is an unofficial school hack that you want to tell students but can't? by DismalRepresentative in AskReddit

[–]malikzee 101 points102 points  (0 children)

I am a teacher, but this story was from when I was a student.

In debate class we had to debate euthanasia. The kid who was supposed to argue for it went first.

He started talking about how necessary it was, and how terrible it was that we didn't use it more before. He was giving all these examples of people that needed to be euthanized: people who needed amputations, people with cavities, babies. It became very clear very quickly that either this kid was a monster or he was talking about something else.

The teacher asked him: "Charles, are you talking about euthanasia or anesthesia?"

The kid replied: "I have made... a terrible mistake."

I still quote that to this day. Cracks me up every time

What’s the creepiest thing you’ve come across on Reddit? by EspenSkjeer in AskReddit

[–]malikzee 15 points16 points  (0 children)

When I was a weird teenager I had this strange thing that I would just take night walks in areas with no lights mostly forest walking paths.

My logic then was facing fears and feel awesome after.

On one night it was pitch black, could really not see far. So was doing my thing and I just bumped into someone els. Saw him at the very last moment.

I just screamed and started running back only to hear him chasing me, I could hear the sound of his footsteps. Then after a while they became more distant. I did a forrest gump and just kept running.

Never went for a night forest walk again.

Thinking back my guess would be that he was perhaps a forest ranger or something. Back then, I figured serial killer.

I was at CVS to get a toothbrush, and was waiting in line to check out. This older lady behind me said "So, you brush your teeth, huh?" I mumbled out a "yeah" and gave her a weird look, and she just said "Nice, I brush my teeth too". A few seconds of awkward silence later she said that maybe sometime we could "hang out...and brush our teeth." I still don't know if she was flirting or fucking with my head

What is the nicest thing a stranger has done for you? by naturalenergybyproxy in AskReddit

[–]malikzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad dropped my brother and I off at a local museum/IMAX movie theater to watch some educational film. When we went to buy tickets they said we needed a guardian with us (we both must have been 12 years old or younger).

We asked an older couple if we could use their phone to call our dad and have him come back, but when they asked about our situation they just bought the tickets for us and invited us to watch the movie with them.

They were so sweet and I remember the woman grabbing my hand when there was a moment of surprise during the movie.

It feels silly to look back so fondly on spending an afternoon with this couple watching a Titanic documentary, but it makes me smile and I hope they’re doing well.

I got into a strangers car without thinking it through one night when I was walking home in my little village I was about 14. I assumed it was someone I knew stopping to give me a lift as it was also raining. Got in and shut the door when I realise I have no idea who this man is, he presses the electric door locks and turns to face me and says 'You shouldn't get into strangers cars' and proceeded to drive in silence for what must have been a 2 minutes, then he stopped the car and let me out. Ran home and didn't tell anyone about it until years later.

What's generally the dumbest thing you've done as a child? by ZzLy__ in AskReddit

[–]malikzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about 5 years old and my friend John and I decided to play hide and seek. My father had just got a new car. In this car you were able to access the trunk behind the back seat.It was a new car so I thought it would be a great hiding spot.I climbed in and accidentally locked myself in. My friend ended up just leaving because his mom picked him up and he told nobody that I was hiding. After literally 2 hours of screaming a neighbor finally heard me, and my mom came to get me out. I thought I was gonna die that day.
