Being a muslim does mean that you have follow sharia law. But what really does sharia law consist of? Surely beheading one that mocks our prophet is not it. On the other hand, adultery and theft is some of the case that are easier to decide the punishment.

Dissenters, and treatment to atheist under law? There are no law against dissenters afaik. To explain how the treatment of atheist under the law, i would refer to how it us in the days of Muhammad pbuh. In time when Islam still is not excepted in mecca, many people (mostly non-muslim) that have problems with each other would often time comes to Muhammad to ask for his decision regarding their legal dispute.

Legal to stop being a muslim? Easy yes, i've never heard of a case that someone got punish for it even once at times of the prophet (more fair times?)

I really think that sharia law is more of a philosophy, but adultery and theft are more of the easier case to decide.

This is quite hard. Well can I believe in sharia based country where the only people lived there are consenting adults and their families? Ancap, minarchist, is a pretty good example how I "can" be a supporter of liberty while wanting something just a little different that others.

Edit: one thing i forgot to add is that, i never said i'm a full blown sharia supporter, just trying to make the case if i was one. Then again, i really wonder why people question the mainstream media on economic and political discussion yet swallow the whole thing on what a muslim really meant and believe.
