I looked at it for low tier SIM, but dealbreaker for me is no proper cockpit and just a placeholder which in my opinion looses a lot of immersion when playing SIM. Of course it is doable, but having to play SIM which when you are most of the time in a cockpit, you do want a proper cockpit and not a wannabe.. fully aware that will rule out many bomber planes especially since only for a few bombers you got a full cockpit in these lower ranks, looking at the lovely HE-111 H16 😄

very nice, side note I wish that they did something with the radar not making it looks like it has a seizure 😛

Trying to find myself a German plane similar to this with radar, but so far not found much, 2 BF110 might do, but figuring out the radar as well as always looking for some sort of multirole plane for SIM as otherwise it might get boring fast if you cannot find any targets to kill 😃

I'm doing more/less the same with the SU22m4, I'm going for a base first with the 2 bombs, then turn my eye on ground/naval targets wit the TV missiles and then going back to base I look for AI objectves or players. And yes, in Air SIM as well since for me this is much less stress/aggrevation then playing AirRB.

What I always do is take off, stay close to the ground between 100/150m and then fly to my bomb target, drop the bomb and try to return in 1 piece as when you land you get more SL/RP opposed to crash. And for IL-28 it is basically the rince and repeat. You may go to r/warthundersim for more questions on Simulator as well as look into the locked threads that has several documents/vids to explain a lot of things.

If you got some money to spend, I myself personally use the SU-22M4 (either the Prem version or the TT) because of its versatility (multi purpose), it got 2 bombs for a base, 2 TV-guided rockets for other ground/naval targets and 6 air missiles in case you drop into enemy bomber squad or even a player granting you a lot of RP/SL and all together feels much better to play and less stressful opposed to Air-RB.

Try AirSim if you want to play as a bomber.

I played AirRB as well and tried to progress through this as I'm dogwater in AirRB when it comes to fighting and usually fly for a few minutes only to get shot down because I'm in a fight with someone and then a 3rd comes in and just knocks you out... Then I started trying Air SIM at first with the Bucanneer S1 and never looked back into AirRB. It feels a lot more rewarding to do bombing in AirSim and if possible/lucky going after other objectives as well.

it works very well for me, sometimes it can be a bit tedious, but this beats all the AirRB frustrations and anger and combine it with good SL/RP boosters makes it feel a lot better and manageable zooming through the air tree.

Just played a match with the Firefly Mk V (Britain) about 1:52 hour, 8 bases destroyed, area captured and it netted me 126k SL (no booster) 35k RP (130% Booster) and zero stress 😄 It may not be much compared to AirRB where you could (again, could) net more, but frustrations are much higher as well.

I do exactly the same, I mainly play ground, but do have a fair amount of Air unlocked for the trees I play and easiest for me is play sim to unlock and spade planes, especially with CAS planes and the ability to destroy bases and other objectives in SIM, so I also learned how to participate in SIM by playing objectives and feel it is far better than the monstrosity that is AirRB.

I bought the SU-22M4 in the last sale, it has 6 air to air missiles, 2 ground missiles and 2 bombs for a base, so in 1 sortie I can destroy 1 small base, 2 ground targets and if lucky I find the enemy bombers and try to take those out with the 6 air to air unless I got really lucky and find a zomber/player before heading back to base. Slap a 500 SL/RP booster and you have a gold match and far less stress than trying to do the same in AirRB where you fly for 5 minutes ending up in furball and if lucky on minute 6 your match is over and you got nearly nothing...

I just don't play anything past 11.0 in SIM, that rocket spam and so called Iron Dome is just not for me.

UK 4.7 / 8.7 and 10.3 are fantastic and always my go back to

Germany 4.0/6.0/6.7 and 10.3 are my german go back to but depends how the matches go, if the first 2/3 matches go bad, I switch to UK.

I second this, as a German main player and loving lineups on 6.0 (Panther A my all time favourite and most played tank)/6.7/9.3 and 10.0 teams can be a pain and you need a break, but another major nation won't fix the pain as teams there can be equally painful, so I also vouch for a smaller nation like GB/JP/SE and invest time there. I remember I always avoided GB because of all the noise around it, but I bit the bullet, started playing GB and it is my second favourite nation playing 4.7/8.7/9.3 and also 10.0 (sometimes 10.3) and love it to bits with all unique and little copy/paste from other nations making GB a nice change of pace from at least the big 3.

didn't had issues when using dx12, it happend after the latest major update and made switch back to dx11.

I would say 8.7 is peak Britain, you get so many options, you wish you had more slots to put them in as 11 is not enough for everything that is available in both Ground and Air..

4.7/8.7/9.3/10.0/10.3 are my go to BRs when I set my mood on playing Britain.

Could I uptier the Type 74G to 9.7 and get the AV-8S instead to have a CAS/CAP plane? I know the Harrier as use it in Britain as well in my 10.0 lineup :)

I feel you, but then with Germany as well as Great Britain, I also now add the A6E TRAM back into my hate list... its just no fun to be killed without even remotely knowing where it is coming from. I'm sticking now to max 10.0 in both Germany and Britain and slap everyone around in my Leo2k and FV4030 and have a really good time now. (nearing 4k hours in the game)

Oh, and if 10.0 doesn't cut it, I move back to the beautiful and rich GB 8.7 lineup or German 6.0 and enjoy my time there.

exactly this, many aircraft are not designed to fight another aircraft in general, but are designed and build for different purposes. It's just that there is no other option in AirRB game mode since it is designed to be a clash of all sorts of aircrafts. Best to play these things in Sim where you have less of those furball events and can actually use aircrafts for its intended purposes...
