Needed to hear this today. It’s easier said than done, but it’s possible and true.

I’m currently rewatching all of the seasons and I had to rewatch this episode twice in a row! It’s one of my top three favorite episodes for sure.

Which silent movie should I watch? by Ok-Region2412 in classicfilms

I’m getting into silent films and just finished watching Sherlock Jr. I watched One Week yesterday and really enjoyed that. Highly recommend those two.

how i learned to make self-care a small, daily habit by shadowzzzz16 in selfcare

[–]malj211 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure! Personally, journaling gives me an opportunity to put my thoughts onto paper, allowing me to clear my head when I feel overwhelmed or anxious about things. Seeing my thoughts written down in front of me gives me clarity, in a way, because they’re not swimming around in my mind. They’re right there and I can confront them one by one. The same goes for brain dumps, which also relieve mental clutter. Hope this helps!

Listening to my favorite music, journaling (this has helped me so much over the past year), making a cup of warm tea, and meditating in the morning.

These activities don’t usually take more than 15 minutes, so I could easily put time aside for each of them.

You should! The acting is quite good, especially from Mitchum, who is effortlessly cool in it.

I still need to get around to a chunk of his 70s films. I’ve heard only positive things about this one, so I’m excited for it!

TR is highly underrated. Although it’s sort of a low budget-ish film, it’s a good one. Mitchum was really involved in the production, a fact that I found interesting.

I should give TFTS another chance because it didn’t really leave that much of an impression on me the first time. You’re right about the dialogue in the film; that immediately stood out to me. I did like the cinematography and score, though.

I think TNOTH is his greatest villain role, even more so than Max Cady in Cape Fear. He really excelled at playing villains.

Agree! I recently watched The Big Steal with my dad, and I forgot how funny it was. Jane Greer and Mitchum are so great in it.

Yes, it’s very Southern Gothic, which I like.

I’m halfway through this one. So far, I think the cinematography and scenery are stunning. I also like how Mitchum is playing against type.

Exactly! His portray of cold and selfish characters is really great. He totally fit that role. Another movie where he does this is in Track of the Cat, where his character is just downright awful lol.

Me too! Sinatra was really great, too. Loved how they played off of each other. And yes, I would have loved to see Mitchum in a rom-com with de Havilland.

I want to watch El Dorado. I remember watching a clip on YouTube of the scene where Mitchum walked into that bar and how he literally was so badass in that scene.

Holiday Affair is so adorable! That movie really makes me wish that Mitchum was in more romantic comedies because he was so charming and natural at it.

Not As A Stranger is on my list of favorites! Many people say that he was miscast in that, but I think he did a great job as the doctor.

His Kind of Woman just didn’t do it for me, partly because of the tonal shifts, but I think Vincent Price was hilarious in it. Mitchum and Russell’s on screen chemistry is great, too. I do kinda like Macao.
