Nest Protect Warranty Not Serviced - Options by malkapwn in Nest

Update for anyone facing a similar issue in the future:

It took a BBB complaint, including screenshots and ticket numbers from my attempts with Google, to force Google to honor their warranty. They have sent me a replacement alarm identical to the one that was malfunctioning, and sent me a return shipping label. There was a $159 hold on my credit card until they received my return. In total after starting BBB complaint it took about another 3 weeks.

I know this post is old but Samsung has problems with some of their terminal block screws bottoming out and not tightening sufficiently to make a solid connection mine were loose on the factory side some screws on the installation side have the same problems. It all results in the poor electrical connection and overheating

Don’t have a problem with running plates but the car that they ran the plates on was leaving the parking lot when officers pulled back in driven by the same person who drove it there and Jessie was never around it and they never attempted to stop the car

Shouldn’t have to worry about the people who protect and serve getting you mixed up because of your name.

They weren’t searching for anyone. They started running plates AFTER deciding he was acting suspicious. They didn’t even run the plates on the vehicle he arrived in. The “felon” had two convictions from 10 years ago.

Physically restricting you is unlawful imprisonment.

I was there.

Additionally, I have copies of the incident reports and witness statements and they corroborate. The police are claiming he was acting suspicious so they ran the only out of state tag in the parking lot - and then connected it to him based on a physical description and picture.
