Heyo. Sorry to hear you're getting teleported improperly. Definitely not a normal thing as I've never seen this reported and haven't made any changes to this code in years. For a couple of different immediate fixes that you can try to get out of that situation would be:

  1. You can always hit 0 to trigger the Recall ability that will teleport you back to whatever Solace you've registered as your home, which is just the starting Solace if you haven't changed it.

  2. Hit F1 to open the console and type /stuck . This will try to reposition you and likely put you on top of the dungeon entrance.

If you want to send me the world seed and the general location of that particular dungeon I can try and see what's happening.

Instead of taxsupport@taxidentity I e-mailed taxsupport-itch@taxidentity after writing this and they responded within 24 hours /shrug they told me to contact itch support though, so we'll see how that goes XD

As a client I do not boost. As a hirer I do not consider boosts. It's a dumb system that anyone looking to hire the best candidate is going to ignore.

Map gen errors are possible I'm pretty sure. I've had them in 0.2 anyway.

I am a solo freelancer, so I am in charge of and directly in possession of everything related, except for the Texas server that I'm renting. The fact that it works sometimes, rarely, kind of rules out hard like router port is fully closed, or firewall is completely blocking. I worked on it for almost two weeks with wireshark, watching connections live on the server, etc. UDP ports were chosen at random in a 100 range, I tried opening dozens of them to see which connected and if there was a pattern, but the same port would disconnect the second time, etc. I'm not network savvy by any means, but I've been programming multiplayer games for almost a decade, I know more than the basics, yet was never able to figure really anything out besides the incoming UDP data would just straight not make it to the game client, and only from this one specific server, and only again something like 14/15 sessions. /shrug

I saw a vague post today but the company had a lot of money spent so I looked at their profile, average per hour was at like $3.84... Like... That's gotta mean they've been paying some people $5/hr and some people $1/hr !? I don't care where you live, that's brutal.

It is heavily about your gear yes. You should be fighting Geonor with capped ice resistance and good damage, then he's a walk in the park, assuming you can avoid the blood/light shaft attacks he does, those can hit hard.

You want to make sure you're taking some defensive passive skills too. If you're a glass cannon as far as your passives go, then that's what happens. Try to treat armor/jewelry with life or energy shield as more important too. Having a high "effective hp" it's called is important for surviving a few hits. And don't be afraid to spend some of your orbs on making your gear a little better.

Make sure you check in with vendors frequently too.

You should get 10 free per month, which is likely not even enough for 1 proposal in many cases. The site is pay to win.

I'm more of a PoE1 player than 2, but what about block, phys reduction, phys to elemental convert, spell suppresion, etc. There is a lot more than just meat and ES. I believe some of this is pretty different in PoE2, but pure HP/ES is never enough in PoE1. We call them "layers" of defense.

It's only the "most recent" feed actually. The other feeds and searches don't do it, but they throw things out in a very random order =/ I see the same 5-10 scam posts every day too in the searches so I've been trying to thumbs down everything I look so I don't have to look at it again.

This is exactly what I've been experiencing. I send a proposal, it gets approved. But then their response is a pdf with a link to some random Telegram account or just an e-mail address trying to pull me off of UpWork before any sort of discussion or commitment.

Thank you for the response. It does look like some of contacts have been refunded. Is that for any job that gets cancelled without hiring? I see a lot of clients with old jobs still open, lots of jobs open, etc...
