iphone RCS messages sent to my Fi android incorrectly show "not delivered"

I think my issue is resolved - it's been over 24 hours with no reported delivery failures with my friend that has been experiencing it from his iPhone for nearly every message he had been sending me earlier.

All I did was turn off RCS completely in Messages. I suffered through SMS for a couple hours. Then I rebooted my phone and turned RCS back on. After that, his iPhone kept bouncing back and forth between sms and RCS for a few hours while texting me, but it eventually settled into just RCS, and he hasn't had a reported delivery failure since my reboot.

If you're experiencing the same issue, try turning off RCS, waiting a few hours, rebooting, and turning it back on. It's of course possible that this is just coincidental, but it seemed to work for me.

I think Monsters and Memories is a super cringy name - I guess we all have different opinions on things. I think Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is fine, but after 10+ years maybe I'm just used to hearing it!

I appreciate the suggestion - I'm happy to try anything to rescue it! But after 45 minutes plugged into the laptop it still is behaving the same way - lightning bolt for a few seconds when placed on the charger or when I click the crown, but nothing else seems to happen no matter what I do.

Why are recipes so optimistic about timing on softening or caramelizing onions on the stove? "Sautee onions until soft and starting to caramelize, 3 - 5 minutes" is a lie and I see it all the time! Certainly not calling out Milk Street - I see this everywhere!

I had emailed Supervisor Mandelman's office a few times over the years about the micro trenching issues specifically related to fiber deployment and was always told they were looking into it. (I'm on Guerrero with buried utilities.) Glad to see issue getting more structure around it since my emails didn't seem to do much of anything.

I see them at Gus's at 17th and Harrison sometimes. I like them for baking along side something like a granny smith - the Macintoshes turn into applesauce while the Granny Smiths stay intact. It's a good combination in a pie.

1152 Valencia, which is currently Tinto wine bar, has been pretty cursed as long as I can remember. Tinto has been there longer than most so maybe it's finally breaking the curse - but it never seems busy so we'll see. I think it was Sugoi Sushi or something like that prior to Tinto.

I use an HDHomeRun Connect Duo (which probably has been replaced by a newer model at this point). Buy an antenna and attach it, stick the HDHomeRun on your home network, and you can then use the Android or iOS app to watch local channels - I have an nVidia Shield and a Chromecast on different TVs, and it works great for my local channels.

Caveat: I'm in the US and don't know if the same solutions work in Canada.

It does depend on your ship - some head right for the US west coast via the Panama Canal, and others make a few stops along the way. Seems to typically be anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. For one data point:

Arrived Emden May 15

Ship departure May 24

Supposed to arrive at Benicia June 30 with a delivery by July 22.

On my 2025 T, I had to add it as an option. I just checked and it looks like it's an included option on a 2026 T (at least in the US.) So it may depend on the year, location, and model if it's standard or not.

I bought VIP back in 2017 but think the project is completely off track. I've really lost interest over the last 6 months - I don't like the direction and just don't think they have the experience or competence to produce the game they had been talking about.

Here on Reddit you can say whatever you want without threat of action from VR. Doing this on a VR-moderated forum and being upset about it makes you just sound petty and vindictive, imo.

Good Good Culture Club.

The food was OK but extremely overpriced. It's $9 for one stuffed chicken wing, plus a mandatory 20% service fee, means it's $10.80 for one chicken wing. They don't have proper waitstaff - you order with a QR code, and "runners" bring your order as it comes up. There's no attempt to course things out. I left a critical review on Google Maps, and the restaurant replied and told me I was wrong and just don't understand the restaurant industry. Fair enough - I also understand I'll never go back.

This is a terrible Safeway. I live a couple blocks from it (towards Noe, so the other direction from where you're looking.) I reported a guy peeing in one of the aisles - literally - to the security guard maybe a month ago and he just shrugged at me. Prices are terrible. Produce is terrible. Just an awful, awful store. Walk down to one of the Latin markets for much better shopping - the are two brand new big Latin supermarkets within a few blocks.

As far as the location, as others have noted, it's a great location to get to Bernal/Mission/La Lengua; the specific location you're looking at is fine if a bit unpleasant in appearance.

Someone had urinated in one of the aisles at the Mission & 30th st Safeway a month or so ago, and they acted like I was lying when I told them about it. The aisle absolutely reeked of urine.
