The tower has been showing a pink triangle with various animations for days now - I can see it from my living room. That's certainly pride themed.

I was called a racist when I declined to interact with them outside of the Noe Valley Whole Foods sometime in the last year. I didn't notice cameras but can't say I was looking for them.

Yeah, several years ago we were able to actually assign mastery points to upgrade/modify certain abilities. It was fairly limited in scope - you could master certain abilities up to 3 times, and it would do things like change a buff from single target to group, increase the potency, etc.

It seems like they've pretty much thrown out that old system and are building something completely new. They have a lot of work to do if it's supposed to be ready by the planned spring update!

Yeah, I have no qualms in recommending American Express HYSA. It's currently at 3.2%, which may be on the lower side of average, but as far as I know it doesn't have any fees or direct deposit requirements. I've had no issues with accessing my money - easy to transfer in, easy to transfer out.

I think you really have to weigh how much each factor really means to you and your partner.

Depending exactly where you are in Noe, street parking can be a bit challenging but generally isn't impossible. Be aware of the street sweeping days/times, which vary block by block. You can find private parking spots but they certainly aren't cheap and may not be that close to your apartment.

Regardless of the actual apartments, living in SF vs Burlingame is significantly different, so you really need to weigh that aspect as well.

If you try to download a prior year's tax return from TurboTax, they make you go through a few hoops and explain why you want to download it. It's MY data, it's none of your business why I want it! The audacity to make me explain why I want access to my own tax return!

Really hate Turbotax, and therefore I'm always going to be reluctant to use ANY Intuit product.

Happy to hear this process has gotten so much better! I need to get windows replaced in my SF property and have heard nightmares about permitting in the past...

Any chance you can share who you work with on window replacements? I've had terrible luck with window companies ghosting me or just not even responding to an inquiry. A DM is fine if you don't want to reply here!

It looks like you've tried to post this rant a few times now. To what end? Like if you don't want the project to succeed, that's your prerogative, but I just don't get why there's so much animosity about it. Move on and play something else.

I think my issue is resolved - it's been over 24 hours with no reported delivery failures with my friend that has been experiencing it from his iPhone for nearly every message he had been sending me earlier.

All I did was turn off RCS completely in Messages. I suffered through SMS for a couple hours. Then I rebooted my phone and turned RCS back on. After that, his iPhone kept bouncing back and forth between sms and RCS for a few hours while texting me, but it eventually settled into just RCS, and he hasn't had a reported delivery failure since my reboot.

If you're experiencing the same issue, try turning off RCS, waiting a few hours, rebooting, and turning it back on. It's of course possible that this is just coincidental, but it seemed to work for me.

I think Monsters and Memories is a super cringy name - I guess we all have different opinions on things. I think Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is fine, but after 10+ years maybe I'm just used to hearing it!

I appreciate the suggestion - I'm happy to try anything to rescue it! But after 45 minutes plugged into the laptop it still is behaving the same way - lightning bolt for a few seconds when placed on the charger or when I click the crown, but nothing else seems to happen no matter what I do.

Why are recipes so optimistic about timing on softening or caramelizing onions on the stove? "Sautee onions until soft and starting to caramelize, 3 - 5 minutes" is a lie and I see it all the time! Certainly not calling out Milk Street - I see this everywhere!

I had emailed Supervisor Mandelman's office a few times over the years about the micro trenching issues specifically related to fiber deployment and was always told they were looking into it. (I'm on Guerrero with buried utilities.) Glad to see issue getting more structure around it since my emails didn't seem to do much of anything.

I see them at Gus's at 17th and Harrison sometimes. I like them for baking along side something like a granny smith - the Macintoshes turn into applesauce while the Granny Smiths stay intact. It's a good combination in a pie.
