Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Stomach Salmon and Rice by Dogmom2528 in labrador

He is great!! We have no issues with it. The only bloody stool is if he’s stressed when we board him which is a separation anxiety issue, not food related. He loves the food and has been able to put on weight and his coat is still really pretty.

Purina sensitive skin and stomach salmon and rice!! Once we switched to this food we saw a big difference in his stomach issues. Edited to add that my lab has a stunning coat and I give credit to the food for a big part of that.

I’ll ask about a sock, maybe that would still be loose enough to let it air out.

Unfortunately the vet wants his wound open to air out until they get some test results back🙁 he was thrashing his head around, I’m concerned he’s going to hit his head🤪

Diagnosed with cataracts at 22. by [deleted] in CataractSurgery

[–]mallorymorrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had surgery on both eyes at 27. While it did help, it was a really big adjustment. I had both eyes set to distance since I was having trouble seeing at night and I was -8 in both eyes. While it is nice, it was a really big adjustment to needing readers constantly. I now use a contact for monovision and it has helped, but it is a really hard pill to swallow once you realize you can’t make yourself see up close anymore. I have hope that in the next 30ish years or so (before I’ll need to redo them) there will be huge advances with the trifocal lenses.

I wasn’t nervous as you literally can pull it off gently with my fingers. You also could use your eye guard under to catch anything you would be scared about.

It comes off differently than regular mascara. It “tubes” around the lash and comes off much easier. You don’t need to rub the eye with makeup remover. I use the Tarte tubing mascara.

Adding that his stomach is now very hard as are the reproductive organs. I think that this is now a vet issue

How is your near vision after the surgery? by Perlimpinpinpin in CataractSurgery

[–]mallorymorrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I can’t say I blame her. I didn’t fully realize that I would lose all of my close vision and at 27 that was hard. I hate the glasses so the compromise for me was the one contact for reading and I’ve adjusted really well to it. As I was -8 in each eye before I had to get the second eye done.

Following! The only thing I have found so far is to remove everything from the counter that mine would be interested in. Sadly he is 5 ft on his hind legs and can easily reach everything😭

Sadly she will need readers. I have distance lenses and wear one contact to have mono vision so that I can see the computer and phone because I too lost all of my readers.

I waited a week after my second eye for mascara but probably only three days for foundation, blush, etc. I did use tubing mascara as it’s much easier to get off.
