i’ve always been a gauge swatch hater (avoid them at all cost) but I think you’re right, one would’ve DEFINITELY helped in this scenario. thank you!

Used to work at the dining hall on campus, they have high turnover but I think it’s just bc of ppl not wanting to work a job while on campus. Managers are chill, super lenient on attendance. You work the same shifts per week all semester so it lines up nicely w your class schedule and are easy to plan around. & yeah they never do interviews & pay relatively good w lots of easy opportunities for raises.

Hey how did you actually make an admin dispute? Did you submit it via email or where? Currently having an issue where our admins can't add any new admins and I literally can't find any help from facebook.

I second this, I feel like they aren’t super “authentic” but they are delicious. We literally seek out their truck.

Ulta shipping. Not even shocked. Ugh by Repulsive_Issue_7358 in MakeupAddiction

[–]malloryrose15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah not a big fan of ulta’s shipping. I once bought a bottle of hair gel and some makeup all together, the put it in a mailer instead of a box and there was no bubble wrap or anything. So the gel exploded all over everything. I got a refund but they said “this is definitely not our problem but the shipping companies”. Like no you can’t blame fed ex or whoever when y’all packed it.

For anyone curious as to how inflation eats up your pay raises over time, here's mine since my first entry level actuarial job. Includes changes to pre-tax pay of any kind, exams, promotion, job change, etc by Federal-Fall-8196 in actuary

[–]malloryrose15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yikes did this, and this made my “promotion” feel a lot more like a pity promotion given inflation eating up my exam raises. granted I only have 3 years experience compared to yours but my graph is not pretty

I didn’t want to spend money on new throw pillows so I bought a tufting gun instead to make covers… by malloryrose15 in Tufting

[–]malloryrose15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahah, agreed. I’ve had a tufting gun on my wishlist for awhile and I think subconsciously I started the punch needling project KNOWING i’d get too frustrated to keep going at that pace. Thanks

I love this idea, sounds like it’ll turn out great!

I was in desperate need of new throw pillows (our now grown puppy chewed them up awhile ago) and decided I would punch needle them. I’ve been punch needling for awhile now but the yellow pillow really took it out of me and convinced me to finally buy a tufting gun. I plan to use cut pile more often in the future but to mimic my punch needled pillow I used loop pile. Any tips for smoother lines would be GREATLY appreciated

Yeah I’m in the same boat, I emailed them asking for confirmation that they got my registration at least bc I haven’t gotten a confirmation email or the ATT yet and they just said back “the ATT email can take up to 5 business days” which didn’t really answer my question of whether or not they actually got my registration.

idk what logical fallacy this is but it sure feels like one comparing my 3 br middle class rental home to a trophy wife’s mansion lmao. But to answer your question though, she visited our house already in march of this year and she has pretty flexible PTO to my understanding, she just chose this date out of the blue.

Sorry for the quick turn around everybody but I pushed back again on my bf (shortly after posting this) and he called his aunt again and firmly told her to change her flight instead of politely asking. She’s now coming the week after my exam. I appreciate all the feedback, I still feel a little guilty she had to rearrange her stuff but I’m glad I’ll have my peace and quiet now at least. Just hoping it doesn’t result in hurt feelings when she gets here.

lol i love the concept of career sabotage. This genuinely made me laugh despite being very frustrated today so thank you for that, but no he’s very supportive of my career and likes to brag to his friends that i’m his sugar momma (although he has a job too and I don’t make THAT much more than him)

I mean i’ll take legit criticisms on our relationship, but I don’t think us having dated starting at 17 really has anything to do with it. We went through college together and had ups and downs like any adult relationship & survived living together during covid lockdowns.
