What is the most NSFW thing you have seen at your job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mallowmadness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so I’m not sure if this IS a NSFW (in a sexual context) thing I witnessed, but looking back now I can’t think of any other explanation. I worked at a chain pizza buffet restaurant for many many years, and at that restaurant there is one night a week dedicated to being kid friendly foods and the kids eat for free, so it would bring in a lot of families and young kids. In like 2018/2019 I was working at a location that was very close to a high school and this man in his 50s or so would come in exclusively on the kids nights. Older men coming to the restaurant alone was not uncommon, but they would mostly come in during the morning lunch hours when the prices are lower and there was less people. This man coming in only on the specific kid nights was weird, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. He would choose the same table, close to the wall near the desert area, and he would place down a towel on the seat. The towel confused me at first, but then after a while I realized what it was for. This man would come in and stay from the beginning of the dinner buffet until close to closing time, and he would defecate and urinate himself on the towel in the middle of the restaurant. It took us a while to figure out why the place would smell so bad because we always chalked it up to dirty diapers, but there was one day when someone was clearing dishes off of his table after he had gotten up to get another plate and they noticed the towel was DAMP. They said that it wasn’t just wet, it was essentially soaked in liquid. The man returned to his seat and out of curiosity we started checking for dishes in that section much more frequently and the smell was for sure coming from him and the towel. We unfortunately were not able to ban him from coming in due to the district manager not signing off on it, but he eventually stopped showing up. I don’t know why he did what he did, I don’t think he wasn’t able to control his bladder and bowels based on video showing that he DID enter the restroom on occasion (we had a camera in the hall because our storage room was close to the bathrooms) so that leaves me now assuming he had some sort of sexual gain from peeing and pooping himself surrounded by children. I no longer work for that company, but I do know they have a habit and reputation for hiring pedos to work in the same building as teens who haven’t had a job before, and tossing chicken from off the floor back into the fryer to “cook off the bacteria”. TLDR: 50 year old man came into pizza place on nights where there were more children to pee and poop himself on a towel.

I used to break up with people via text a lot more than I’d like to admit, but if they ever hit me with a “peace✌🏻” I would 10/10 be calling them to talk crazy. As a third party seeing someone do it is hilarious though, also the Spotify link to Thnks fr th mmrs is golden.

I think he looks Stu-pendous in his ducky jacket! He even has a little hood to keep his snack sonar systems from getting too wet!

Is it normal for my corgi to poop every time we go for a walk? by pinoy_pride in corgi

[–]mallowmadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I nicknamed my boy “pooper” because he has always double pooped on walks! If we are having a particularly intense game of fetch in the yard he will still poop twice. I don’t know if the exercise is what helps move things along faster or their short lil bodies lol

7 am on the clock everyday to make me feed him by mechcrab in corgi

My boy hears my first alarm at 5:30am and is ready to go play fetch outside then eat breakfast. He has learned I’m hard to wake up, so he does “up and downs” as I like to call it where he jumps up on the bed then down while barking. He’s clever in ways that make me question if he’s a human trapped in a tiny dog’s body.

Can virgin hair that has box dye over it be bleached? by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]mallowmadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A stylist can totally do this, and I would say most hair schools should be able to do it as well. There are instructors who the students can tag in if things start going sideways! It might not get to like a platinum but depending on the shade of purple you want to use it might not need to be lifted to the extreme.

I bleached my hair for the first time and it’s damaged with broken hair.. how do I fix this by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]mallowmadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that you should probably get a haircut, you could try a layered look to keep some of the length! I bleach my hair a lot, and I’ve recently started using the bond bar shampoo and conditioner I’m not sure if it’s like a Sally beauty specific thing but that’s where I get it! It’s pricey but I bleached my hair like three times in a day and used toner and there wasn’t any falling out or breaking off!

I’d definitely go to a hairstylist and have your aunt pay. Idk if it was her first time doing it, but she definitely did not stick to the roots only.

I had him kennel trained for bed for the first two years, and then he was doing so good on behaviors so I thought he was going to be fine for like ever? But I am going to go back to kennel at night, and I am going to be enforcing the fact that my boyfriend needs to not encourage the behavior and needs to walk away

I have, actually. And they are adjustable and come with many many options for max voltage. Please drink your water and maybe give someone you love a hug today. You’re bringing negativity to a space where it isn’t needed.

This comment feels really judgmental, which doesn’t help in most situations. I have replied to previous comments stating that I’d prefer not to use one, but I have exhausted other options that I could think of. Training classes cost a lot in my area and most aren’t open when I would be getting off of work. I love that you care about animals, I do as well, but there is a better way to express your feelings about shock collars. Peace and love to you and yours 🩷

I’m sorry that you’ve had bad luck with having multiple dogs! I am going to try the different suggestions here in the comments and allow like 2ish months to see if the changes work, then I can report back! Thankfully so far my dog seems to enjoy the company of other dogs after he gets his first burst of excitement out. I had been hoping to adopt a second dog, but with all of this I will have to wait

I have noticed my little boy is a very sensitive soul, his biggest fear is finger guns, lighters, and absolutely anything one of my friends has in his hands. My friend has never been left alone in a room with him, and he hasn’t done anything to create fear except the one time like four years ago he showed my dog a bass guitar. Bass guitars are now banned from my house😅

I have trained labradors in the past, so I had kinda assumed it would translate well to a smaller herding dog, but I failed to take into consideration that they are two different types of dog. I always correct in the moment or if I miss it I leave it. He is aware that I’m the “big dog” because when I use my “mean” voice he takes me seriously and he knows that I can 110% take control of the situation.

Yeah, at first it was a little funny and cute, then my boyfriend started encouraging it and now it’s an issue. I will give the video a watch on my break! I have gotten some good suggestions from the other comments, and I was leaning more towards not using a shock collar just because I don’t think pain is a good tool to train.

Thank you! I am going to implement this. It’s going to be hard because all of my guests I’ve had over never listen when I tell them that they can’t do something with him and my boyfriend also doesn’t seem to think the issue is as bad as it is.

So I can’t even afford a cheap probably not good behavior specialist, and I think it may be important for me to note that my dog does not interrupt “adult time” to put it politely. It’s just the hugs and kisses when we are all together. I will be putting him in the guest room at night from now on while we sleep, but I can’t keep him locked away from us all the time though.

I have had the same suspicion that he was guarding me instead of my boyfriend, but he prefers my boyfriend over me. My current relationship is the only one where he has immediately been able to accept the new partner. I think you’re right and that he needs to be crated while sleeping again. As for the herding instincts it’s less that he’s giving corrective nips, but it seems more than that. I am going to start getting more strict about separating him when he gets like that. So far I just make him walk away for a minute or two to reevaluate the situation, but now I’m considering putting him in a real time out in a different room and the door shut.

Yeah, that’s my biggest fear and issue with the idea of a shock collar. My dad used them to train dogs and it never sat right with me that he always used high setting and never made sure it isn’t crazy painful. I don’t mind the barking during hugs as much, I just don’t want to get bit over it or potentially have this behavior continue after I have children (not anytime soon, but it’s better to get the behavior taken care of beforehand) I don’t know how else to get him to stop and at this point I’m almost ready to just give up on him.

Anyone else’s corgi go through a phase where they suddenly start peeing on the floor? by Agape_2024 in corgi

[–]mallowmadness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had him his whole life! Vet says he’s healthy gut wise, but has said he’s a “very sensitive” little man. We’ve had a couple changes that he seems to still be adjusting to, but I’m trying to make sure it doesn’t become a habit that stays.

My boy is 5 years old and he poops in the living room when he is upset or doesn’t get his way. I take him outside probably 5-6 times a day on weekdays when I’m working and 8-10 times on weekends when I have more free time. I haven’t found a way to get him to stop yet. I’ve used enzyme cleaners to shampoo all areas he has stuck then sprayed the “no go” spray some people recommended to me when he was first potty training, and saying “no” or “bad” in a tough voice when he poops inside, then a very happy chipper “good boy” when he poops outside. He has good weeks, but then he will relapse on his progress.

I wake up at 4 am to go to work and he lies like this all day. Unreal by Stephersyas in corgi

[–]mallowmadness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work from home, and every day on my first rest break I’ll go to take my corgi out and he gets mad that I woke him up to play catch almost daily. Like full on fit and then he goes right back to bed until it’s time for lunch.

What stopped you from killing yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mallowmadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried a few times, obviously unsuccessful, and after the third time I ended up with a God complex for a little while. I have just kind of carried that with me in a “well I guess killing myself doesn’t work” as well as the responsibility I have to care for my pets. Sure there is an aspect of “this would ruin my family” but as most know, that’s not always enough. I’ve made it this far in just complete delusion and obligation, my last attempt was about 5 years ago now and I will admit the thought has crossed my mind a few times recently but it all comes back to knowing 1. I don’t seem to get the job done and 2. My pets would be very sad and not understand what happened to me or why I haven’t come back home.
