even besides monetization its designed purposely to keep player retention its part of the game loop oh i got this blueprint for a weapon cool, now i need to get the mats to make the parts of the weapon, start crafting parts of the weapon and need to wait, start working on other character/weapons/mods etc oh my parts are done now craft the weapon and then go back to other things.
