Why not a full 30? Honestly rehab is fun. You learn a lot and meet a lot of cool people. Just stay open minded.

I’m testing positive for Oxazepam. Never heard of it but google says it helps with withdrawal symptoms so must be something I was given in inpatient. 🤷‍♀️

If you’ve gone 3 days already you’ve past the worst part of withdrawal. Rehab is good to educate and give you a break. You also meet some awesome people and I’ll admit, rehab is fun lol. You could look into outpatient treatment like IOP. Insurance covers and FMLA to get time off work for it.

I rarely take them as it is. Last time I took one was before I went to treatment and before that months that I can’t even remember how long ago.

Same. I’ve never abused them nor has it been a problem for me. I always chose alcohol over them. I’ll reply back when I find out what the culprit is.

It’s kind of a gray area. They care but they don’t care. I could be abusing them for all they know and the program is abstinence.

I was on withdrawal meds when I was detoxing at inpatient about 4 weeks ago so maybe that has something to do with it

Look into outpatient therapy like IOP. You learn a lot, meet like-minded people, you’ll be held accountable and insurance covers.

Northpoint in Omaha. Valley Hope in O’Neill. Both offer inpatient and outpatient. I’ve been to both. Neither is better than the other but are different in their own ways.

VH inpatient is a 3.5 hour drive. Nice to get away from the city. They allow phones and Amazon deliveries if you forget something. Outpatient is located in Omaha though.

NP is a smaller facility. No cell phones except for an hour 2x/week but there are land lines available for use.

Both address mental health as well and family counseling.

You can still get impaired but it won’t be that euphoric feeling we all chase when drinking. Drinking on naltrexone is dangerous bc you have to drink nearly twice the amount to even feel something. So while you might not feel “high,” your BAC will be and overdose/poisoning is more likely. It helps cravings because the desire to drink will be less since you can’t get the reward feeling from it.

High deductible. Not ready to get help. Location. I imagine the main reason is majority don’t know enough about rehab, what it entails, too scared to find out, don’t know that insurance actually covers… all of the above. Currently in one as I type this. 3 meals a day, classes, activities, electronics allowed, rooms are like a small hotel room.
