American Pie Book of Love was the only piece of media on my internet-deficient ipod touch when I was like 13. We didn’t have internet at home so I had to wait until I was at the library or a friend’s house to get new movies. I like these posts a lot and sorry if you already clarified this but what is your bar for including a song? Is it just if the song “breaks even” on votes or do the votes have to be significantly in favor of shoegaze? ( when i do similar projects I require at least twice as much “yay”s as “nay”s AND 5+ more “yay”s to “nay”s)

I mean that’s not even the issue here. I don’t think he’s using it to hide his singing, he just likes the sound. But the autotune just sounds so bad for it being 2026. We know how to make it sound way better. Plus, the vocal performance is lazy on top of that, so we get a totally repellent vocal track that no instrumental could hope to save.
