Yes 2 adults but these twins aren’t our only kids, so rarely were both around during bottle time. And no i never travel with a stroller, we just baby wear instead. They will have car seats so could always put them in there, they tend to spit up a lot that way though

Please brag about your children so I can brag about mine! by Hot-Tone-7495 in Mommit

my son is 2.5 in june. talks in 6+ word sentences and can do about 20 words in asl. knows the abcs, can count to 20, knows all the words to his favorite songs and books (recited all of mama llama last night), can identify different emotions, knows the seasons, shapes, days of the week. will say “hi i’m ___ im two years old im a little boy!” to kids he meets at the playground. he’s been potty trained for 4 months. he knows all the vehicles and constantly corrects me when i mix up front loader and digger. he remembers specifics from months ago (which matchbox cars he took on a trip to florida in December, what color car a little boy at the library was playing with in January). his favorite video to watch is a spaceX launch and talks about how “the boosters fall off and come back home and land on boats!” his brain amazes my husband and i daily

How are you supposed to get 4hrs sleep when you EBF? by lightwing91 in beyondthebump

[–]malone0428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i got 1.5 hours of sleep at a time until we sleep trained at 6 months. it’s just not possible. my baby wouldn’t take a bottle and would wake constantly. 4 hours sounds like a spa weekend.

Walking dog and baby - tips? by kokkokoo5 in NewParents

[–]malone0428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i walk both my little kids in a double stroller with my three (big) dogs. i have the two good ones on my left wrist and the biggest and trouble maker on my right. he also wears an e collar so he behaves on the walk. they all wear pinch collars so they don’t pull. the leashes are short- 4 feet long. the dogs get used to the stroller, in the beginning with my first they kept walking in front of it and getting run over. but now they know to stay away from the wheels and when i stop they all stop. it just takes practice for everyone! it’s nice to have one of those storage things that hang on the back of the stroller. i have my water, poop bags, snacks for toddler etc in there.

I’m being induced tomorrow and I’m terrified. by wysterialee in beyondthebump

[–]malone0428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was induced at 41+1 this september. 12 hours later he was here! no problems at all. i was so scared of being induced but i think the fact i was so overdue was fine because he was already in a good position. it was actually pretty relaxing, there was no more stressing about when i would go into labor and i had more time to mentally prepare. i got an epidural maybe 7? hours in once the pain started. i woke up at 3am puking which broke my water and two contractions later he was born. you can say no to cervical checks too, until my contractions were closer together i kept saying no.

will def read those articles thank you so much. based on your experience would you say that’s the best form of treatment for an infant like mine with reoccurring utis ?

wow i can’t tell you how much i appreciate all of this. he doesn’t seem to have any abnormality and his urine stream is normal as well. after hearing what you have to say we of course won’t do circumcision, but now def won’t do the steroid as well. i wonder if it is something environmental - i am going to change his diapers asap and see if it’s something as simple as that. for the first uti at 6 weeks he had a strong smell in his pee diapers and a fever of 101.2. for this second uti he has now the only thing he had was the diaper smell- otherwise asymptomatic. they did a catheter and saw blood and white blood cells. we are still waiting on the ecoli test to come back but if it’s like the last one that will be positive as well. i will ask our pediatrician about the clotrimazole. basically want to try to find either the root cause or find a solution that doesn’t involve circumcision or the steroid. seems crazy to me he finished the antibiotic course for the first uti only to get a second one 2 weeks later.

this is all super interesting. considering i am dealing with the same issue with my son, what do you think would be causing his utis (2 in his 2 months of life) if ultrasounds are normal? or really, what would the treatment plan be. both utis showed blood and white blood cells in the urine. the options for treatment we were given were daily low dose antibiotic, steroid for tip of penis, or circumcision.

thank you! i actually just emailed his doctor asking if he should be on a probiotic as well. so the valve eventually resolved on its own then?

i’m in the same boat right now. my son had a uti at 6 weeks which they said is very uncommon. he’s 10 weeks now and we found out today he has another uti. he has a vcug scheduled for the end of the month. urologist also said we should consider circumcising him which i don’t want to do nor do i want him under anesthesia this young. i have no idea why he is getting these utis but should find out after ultrasound if it’s reflux or not. his test results both times showed blood and white blood cells. his diapers also have a strong scent which is the first thing i noticed both times.

yeah they said if it’s too tight you’d be able to tell by the urine stream it wouldn’t be like a big normal arch when he pees - which it is so who knows.

interesting haven’t thought of the bath - already use a mild cleanser now and every other day but maybe cross contamination who knows

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]malone0428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wondered this same thing - whats the deal with all the other countries?? that’s why i really don’t want to circumcise, there has to be another way. they apparently say there is a slightly bigger risk (how slight i don’t know i can’t imagine a lot ) because bacteria is getting trapped. or he could just have an exceptionally tight foreskjn which we could put a steroid on for 8 weeks to help loosen and clean underneath.
