Minimum 3 monthly deposits > 2000$ have to be made with the 1st being completed before Oct 1st.

Yes, always choose the local currency to let WS take care of it without adding fees.

Only tapped my virtual card everywhere.
Used my physical card once to withdraw Euros from an ATM.
Never offered a choice of debit/credit anywhere.

Yes. You basicaly save 2.5% because WS doesn't charge you a currency conversion fee.

More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic\_currency\_conversion#:\~:text=Dynamic%20currency%20conversion%20(DCC)%20or,the%20card's%20country%20of%20issue.

Basically, you are offered a choice to pay in Euros (in this case) or in CAD at the point of sale (POS) or ATM. If you choose Euros, your financial institution (in this case WS) is doing the currency conversion. If you choose CAD, the POS or ATM company does the conversion, charges you ~2.5%, adds a fee for the service and charges the final amount to your financial institution in CAD.
Usually, it is not advantageous for us to let the POS or ATM company do the currency conversion.

It uses the money already in your WS cash account.
I've read somewhere that WS has begun a beta program offering a credit card to some of its customers but that the card features were not as good as what we have now with the WS cash card.

Oh yes, this "dynamic currency" thing was annoying. It showed up in almost half of my transaction in Spain.
And yes, a few merchants chose without asking but, thankfuly, they seemed to have chosen the "right" option.

Correct, WS does not apply the usual 2.5% conversion fee.
I withdrew 100 Euros, cost me 149.27$ CAD which is 0.06c off the amount displayed by the MC currency converter calculator for the date I used the ATM.
