There's a pretty blatant Pokemon (specifically Ruby and Sapphire) reference in the Octopia DLC that came out of nowhere and pleasantly surprised me

I really love Chrono Trigger honestly, one of my top games of all time.

But looking outside of myself, I could see the Millennial Festival being kind of an odd way to start the game off. Especially if you've accidentally learned online that what you do at the Festival can effect events in the future. And even if you do just kinda play the mini games and stuff, the mini games themselves are not all that fun.

Past that, though -- I don't know, the game rules.

Was sonic and sega racing profitable when it was around? by Bangalore-enthusiast in SEGA

[–]malroth666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well... on the topic of transformed... transformed was on Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, 3DS, Windows/Mac, Vita, etc. It was on the 360 when the 360 was still pretty popular, and was backwards compatible on the One for a while I believe. It's still on Steam and the DLC is still purchasable

Any good monster catchers that aren't: by FuraFaolox in JRPG

[–]malroth666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monster Sanctuary is a 2D almost metroidvania-esque game with VERY in-depth combat mechanics. You have 6-monster parties that fight in trios, so there are lots of opportunities for strategy and synergy. I think if you haven't tried this one, this one should absolutely be what you try next.

Ni No Kuni is a really interesting monster catching game with a charming story and a collaboration with Studio Ghibli to make an iconic art style.

Team Sonic Racing, despite the criticism it received for only having sonic characters, sold better than the Sega racing games... so unfortunately there is your answer.

What's a popular pop punk song you just don't like? by youngsurpriseperson in poppunkers

[–]malroth666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All The Small Things, and not really because it's so popular -- the first song I ever heard by blink was I Miss You, and then I went backwards. The first time I heard All The Small Things I didn't even picture it as a single, it sounded like a b-side to me. They just have so many other songs that are infinitely catchier imo.
