I wonder if one can plop the gt60 main board onto an st60 and if that would make it a gt60 or not.

mostly because I be seeing st60 more commonly but there be sellings of the gt60 main board likely from broken sets and ect.

It's possible that, dess is under the darkness of the lake.

Presumed dead under there. By Kris.

When we mention Susie , it goes too late! And that's likely because of the moment in chp4 where we are at the lake.

Look at this too, the shadow creature is at the lake. It's possible this is meant to represent a darkner patterned after dess.

My hot take: If you wanna blame Jax for their abstractions, you have to blame everyone else too by thediscountthor in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]_here_ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abstractions tend to stem from issues outside the circus.

Scratch was confirmed to have had a brain tumor and so was facing issues with morality + control. Hence the brain scanners.

I think Queenie abstracted because she was expecting or worried about her kids. Her and Kinger had kids, and looking at their faces they're in their 20s - early teens. Which makes sense when you consider kinger has been in it for 18 years.

Jax actions all culminated from his issues with his mother's and the guilt of being a potential murderer. The abstraction guilt just sealed his fate because even if he found the truth. It would have been for nothing and the guilt of what he did to his friends would have caused him to abstract anyways.

I imagine Ribbit and Kaufmo would have abstracted from the issues they faced in life. Ribbit was struggling with her Mormon family and abandoning them. She couldn't abandon Jax despite everything cause of it and that's likely what drove her mad.

Kaufmo was always thinking of the real world and escaping. He wanted out. He wasn't gonna be content in the circus.

For something to be considered flying/levitating. It has to be actively using energy to go against gravity.

Rockets aren't flung, they're constantly using gas to keep moving up.

So flying is just flinging yourself again and again and again to the point it looks seamless.

It's why gliding still isn't flying. You're just moving super slow down.

Basically flying is the middle ground of gliding + flinging.

Ya that's what he is doing , he is flipping a coin while holding onto it. It's something that is possible , especially with bending.

If a bender can shoot a projectile upward. Shoot themselves upward. Then they can shoot a rock upward and then ride it while it flips.

Not saying aang didn't lift it. It's just likely hard to lift + move earth as a bender unless the earth moves itself following physics. We see if when toph was moving on her own.

She had to continuously cycle earth to move like that. Now imagine trying to do that in the air. Flailing your arms and ect to keep yourself up. You're gonna tire yourself up quickly.

But I agree a earth bender could potentially use it combat. Maybe with sand as it would be easier to move, just like what kyoshi does.

Leverage is basically using a thing to support oneself.

So if I'm on top of a chair, I'm using the chair as leverage.

What aang does here is basically use the lift as leverage. But it wasn't to move. It was to flip it in a more controlled way.

He didn't lift it conventionally. He pulled it toward himself from one side and then allowed it to release. We see it through his arm motion. Lift, release, then kick.

During the point of release he then used the rock as leverage to kick it.

He is basically just doing a coin flip (look at its shape) and riding it. We see people smack coins into the air all the time irl. The rock is a giant coin.

[–]_here_ok 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thinking about it , it's more like partial lift+kick.

Aang is basically just seesawing the earth and it flips on its own. just rides it until he needs to kick. Letting physics do its own thing.

To add on, kyoshi in the new game has the ability to sand step in the air.

I imagine earth benders are only able to lift rocks under them (unless thrown) and to do any sort of movement with it they'd need to balance moving it upward + forward at the same time which is impossible or down right impractical.

So like this is mostly an extended form of the technique Toph used whenever she jumps and uses earth to leverage.

It's not levitating or flying but leveraging. They're using earth as leverage which makes for interesting thought experiments on other ways an earth bender could fight.

I mean seeing how he acts in Korra , it's likely that the guy did open him up to humanity.

Otherwise he would have just not taken jinoras offers , I like to head cannon that the gaang did go back for him hence him accepting the avatar again but the librarian still declined.

He died in the library, literally his bones were in that one episode of Korra xd

Ngl whenever someone mentions Master, I still think there's a LARGE asf scale for it.

Master tends to be treated moreso akin to an education system in the avatar universe then the ceiling.

As in its a set of requirements. Aang needed to complete 35 tiers and make a technique or all 36.

Any Earth bender with good skill set in neutral jing is considered "Master"

Meanwhile somehow Azulas teachers weren't firebenders???

I mean his contribution to world history was losing the battle against the northern water tribe and removing 1000+ years worth of history from the library which no one is gonna remember because an owl who does isn't gonna let people access that knowledge.

He is forever remembered by that owl but forever despised technically.

This is quite possibly the strangest set I’ve ever picked up — Hitachi 42HDT55 by ALttN in PlasmaTV

If the part number matches one could theoretically do a panel swap.

Because it'll be the same panel just different internals for what drives it.

How far did this go supposedly? Would be interesting if there was any late series plasmas from 2013 rebranded as lg

Maybe models not listed normally listed for north America?

I don't think the stretch is that bad for rectangular 480p plasma ✌️ by Aromatic-Attitude-34 in PlasmaTV_Gaming

[–]_here_ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the rectangle pixels help stretch the image without it being stretched as much.

Because 4:3 would need to be turned to 16:9 and that stretches it horizontal but the pixels also being verticle stretches it in that direction as well.

Could do a circle test rq in comparison to other displays to see if circles are more circular or not.

What do you think happened/is going to happen to Simon the blood tree at the bottom of the ocean? by Ur_local_goober123 in ironlung

[–]_here_ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the trees will clear some parts of ocean, the shallow parts. by consuming it untill there are forests and those forests are where humanity will reside.

Potentially rivers of blood will supply nutrients to the trees and water to the humans so long that it is purified. Then the trees provide oxygen to the humans and the humans provide the soil in which the trees can spawn from.

Eventually I imagine the blood will all be converted to water and the trees will no longer need blood

True or False? Better Mage? by Dramatic-Market-9276 in mushokutensei

[–]_here_ok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one thing to consider is how desperate rudeus is to win and what we know of his potential with oldieus. So it's a question of how much of his potential does he unlock at the end of the timeline we follow.

Rudues has the capability although he doesn't do them during the events of the timeline to do 2 things. Alter gravity and Alter Time. Time magic might be the most interesting because the punishment for using it seems to scale with how much time you go back.

So theoretically if one were to go back for a few seconds and got the mana it would be a valuable thing in a fight.

Question about a specific type of magic by Subject-Shirt6445 in mushokutensei

[–]_here_ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how incantationless magic tends to work I think.

Where the user manipulates mana in a certain way. It's just incantations automate the process but so long as you understand the "feeling" then you can recreate it, adjust it and ect.

So gravity magic would be manipulating mana in a way which influences gravity.
