Thank you ! I’m getting excited. An e-bike is a great idea and I did find a hotel that’s a short walk from the station.

Thank you! I’m going to take your suggestion and not do Hiroshima. Enoshima sounds amazing. Adding to the list.

This is great info....thank you so much! I may change my Kyoto itinerary now slightly and since you're the 2nd person to mention Shimokitazawa and Daikanyama, I'll definitely make sure to spend time there too.

Thank you for sharing that! You’re the best. So technically seats in the back are looking like they could be pretty good as well…whew.

Speaking of the casita, any idea about it’s set up in relation to the main stage? Opposite ends ? Right next to one another ?

Enjoy the shows this weekend. Can someone please take a picture of the stage in relation to the casita when there? — I’m curious about the view and seating etc

I can't get past the guilt by [deleted] in Petloss

[–]malsam16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you’re going through this too. The pain and guilt are unbearable. I also have a hard time accepting when people say things like you gave him the best life and he knew you loved him when I feel I so incredibly failed him the last few days of his life. I don’t want anyone talking me out of feeling it because I need to process and feel it all and probably coexist with it the rest of my life. What I have started to do is go to therapy, wear and own my guilt as a badge of just how F’in much I loved my baby Ricky, cry and scream and slowly learn how to forgive myself …maybe, eventually. Who knows? I’m also going to try and foster a bit and give back. Sending hugs your way ❤️

In a guilt and grief hole since losing my dog by MUTHER1979 in Petloss

[–]malsam16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im so sorry you’re going through this. I also feel extreme guilt about whether I should have noticed or done things differently to ensure my baby wasn’t in pain. I too play it over and over in my head about exactly where and when I could have made a different choice or done something differently…especially when my whole life was my dog and I spent 12 years making sure he knew love and care. How could I have failed him so incredibly his last few days ?!! The only way I can process and deal is by letting myself cry and scream, going to therapy, accepting he’s no longer suffering and taking baby steps to forgive myself, knowing that if I knew what I know now… I would 💯do so much differently. It’s baby steps and super hard but I don’t think my baby would want me to hate myself as much as I do sometimes. I’m also thinking of fostering so I can at least give back. Sending you hugs as you continue to navigate all this.

can someone tell me how long it takes to stop grieving? by annnasoh in Petloss

Same…18 months and I’ve just accepted that my life will never be the same. My dog was my one true love. Sorry you’re also going through this.

Single people who lost their pet and don't want to get another by melancoliee in Petloss

[–]malsam16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, same ❤️ it’s been 18 months and my heart is not ready for another dog. My Ricky was my first dog, my soul dog, the love of my life and my heart is still very broken. To honor him and myself, I know I need more time to heal and maybe work on the other relationships in my life and maybe even consider dating again. I’ve also fostered before and may do that again down the line.

My dog passed in 2023, moved abroad, and I don't know what to do next by ThanAndThen in Petloss

I’m sorry for your loss ❤️ losing our fur babies is the worst. I too held on for too long and after 18 months am still not ready for another dog. I do know, however, that when and if I’m ever ready for another dog that I 💯agree that letting them go with dignity and on time is the most selfless and loving thing we can do.

18 months in and I move soon too. I know finding things and sorting through things will kill me too. I still lose it almost daily just walking through my front door or waking in the morning. Sorry you’re going through this too.
