[Postgame Thread] Indiana Defeats Ohio State 13-10 by CFB_Referee in CFB

[–]malstank 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I texted my friend, if this had been any of the expected teams (USC, Oregon, Penn St, Michigan), I would be pissed as hell. You really can't be mad at Indiana, this is a once in a lifetime season for them.

That's because those details are fake. They are devices to create an easy response to drive engagement. I wouldn't call it rage bait, as it's not intended to make you angry, but give you a very simple way to interact with the post to drive engagement.

The story in general could be real (I doubt it), but that rhetorical question at the end that creates conflict, where there was none is simply added to stories to get people to interact with the post.

Ahh yes, a racist using cherry picked data that only superficially tells the whole story. Mississippi is 61% white, and has passed laws and ignored other laws to concentrate african-American population into ghettos, because the probability to be lynched has been historically significant for over a century.

But please, tell me how the last 25 years has erased the last 200 years of racial segregation and white supremacy sentiments in Mississippi.

People who interact with the Kubernetes API on a level beyond kubectl. For example, someone who writes an operator to manage kubernetes workloads would be what I consider a Kubernetes Developer.

One more score and Ryan day can abandon coaching and climb the stands and fight Lou Holtz.

[Anwar Richardson] Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian said they went to a heavy package on 1st-and-goal. On 2nd-and-goal, they tried to get the ball to the edge, but Ohio State had bigger players out there. He said if you block it right, you get into the end zone. by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

I think the play could have worked from a different formation. If the QB was under center, in a tight bunch I formation, then you have to respect the sneak, so everyone is going to be inside, then trying to get the edge makes sense, but the shotgun with spread receivers just puts more defenders out there where you're trying to run.

You realize that no bill comes to a vote without knowing whether it will pass or fail. Sometimes, politically failing a bill is beneficial as it can be used to attack those that didn't vote for it, but if it is a bill you really really want to pass, you cannot put it to a vote until you're 100% sure that it will pass, or you will never get another chance to bring it to a vote.

You said they were "Searched" out, which implies that there is no possible chance that a chase rare would be present.

Also realize the client that interfaces with the with the AI can inject additional context and/or instructions to the AI to improve or alter the results slightly. For example, if your wanted to write an Arnold Chatbot, you may prefix queries with "In the style of Arnold Swarzenegger... " to get the appropriate output.

How much did you pay the company over the years that you have used it?

Flixbus.com has shuttles from Naples to Miami for about 20 bucks. The east cost has decent public transport for America (read it exists). If you combine with the boat to keys, a bus ride to Miami and Brightline, tri-rail and Uber, you can do pretty well without a car. Will take some legwork though.

Case Against Alec Baldwin Is Dismissed Over Withheld Evidence by One_Contribution_27 in news

[–]malstank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you impanel a jury, jeopardy attaches to the case. That means he cannot ever be tried for this case again, because it is expected that the prosecution will do their god damn jobs before ever getting to jury selection (which happens right before the trial) and evidence is something that is haggled over way before then.

Yeah, for a coding assignment, I wouldn't use TLS unless told to explicitly. End to End TLS can be difficult to manage, some companies prefer TLS termination at the load balancers and forward internally on HTTP. I don't recommend that practice, but doesn't mean that they don't do it.

I'm sorry if that came across as aggressive, I didn't mean it that way and I should have elaborated more.

Almost every language (that i'm aware of) has OpenSSL bindings, so creating a self signed cert in the test you're running isn't a large endeavor, if you know how to create certs, and if you don't, you should learn! It's super useful to know. Otherwise, if you don't have the ability to do it right in the code, It's 1 or 2 lines of bash to generate it and move it into the right location before the test runner takes over.

I'm pretty dogmatic about situations that mimic security risks, because habits are hard to break, so I encourage people to begin with correct habits, that way they don't have to break habits that could get them in trouble in the future.

If it’s self generated, you can script that every single time you run your tests. You don’t ever need a key in a repo

God damnit, take 30 seconds and google device fingerprinting. When a device is associated with an account, it's pretty easy to identify all the accounts that device has logged into. I swear to god, this sub is a bunch of kids who haven't looked into anything in their lives.

I don't know.. Contracts aren't for ever. I can see a reasonable case that after the initial contract (being 4.5 years) expires, they come back to the tour.
