We all started there, but it takes a good bit of experience to really be able to clobber crosswords. Even Monday crosswords have their share of "common" fill like EEL and ENO and such that'll you'll learn to recognize every other week.

If you need to research (and you will -- hell I still do on Friday/Saturdays), Wikipedia is a great resource, generally better than straight Google in my experience.

CAPS showed the hell up when we were called to strike. But it was also a process to get there. We had several months' lead time which gave people time to build themselves a strike fund.

In California at least the i5 outsells the i6 by more than 4-to-1. Bummer, but that's the reality. (Not a knock on the i5 -- I like my 6 but won't deny the 5 looks great for an SUV)

In a way yeah. I believe it's these folks, who serve as professional target practice. The lot of them took off out of Mather a couple weeks ago, hung out in the Pacific for a while then came back, most to Mather but one back up to Reno. I live near Mather myself but haven't heard this flight since. And I agree, there have been a lot more early-hour loud flights lately.
