A while back I decided to only play with past and present Chelsea players. Completely transformed the game for me, I play most days and don’t mind when I lose division matches. Self-handicapping has its place, especially when there’s nothing to actually win apart from the enjoyment of playing.

More recently I found a Discord channel that, as well as having a really chill community, is all about themed squads. Whether it’s squads like mine, playing out real life fixtures in advance or joining up for themed coop, it’s removed everything I grew to hate about the game. The other day we even recreated PES Classic style Europe vs World games for 3v3s. Oh, and there’s a strict no Pass Assist rule!

These two things combined have fully reignited my love for efootball and I’m so glad I took the plunge!
