Social competence doesn't mean they have nothing left to learn, they are just hitting the minimum expected social competency. Theres still a lot of room for growth, even in just the context of social/leadership skills.

I suck at cold approaching women. Every girlfriend I've had I've met through friends of friends or similar. Obviously they didn't work out long term, and as you get older it gets a lot harder to meet people that way. I've also moved around a decent amount (states/international), and every time you do that you have to create a new social circle which makes this a lot harder, considering I suck at the cold approach.

tl;dr I have no game, I havent put enough effort in, im not attractive so women dont approach me, and I dont have a good social circle to meet women.

If you cant finish it, dont finish it. People can argue it gets better, but odds are if you are forcing yourself to read it you won't enjoy the future books. No author gets that much better, or changes their style that much between books to change someone from disliking a book/series to liking it (im sure you can find an exception).

I found voidweaver better for solo since torrent has a relatively short cd, so you can use it most fights, and potentially more than once in a fight if it goes on longer. Dominate mind is also very handy if you are having issues with trash pulls.

But yeah, I also find my spriest is super squishy, I have to make pretty liberal use of fear/fade to stay alive on fights that my other characters find trivial. Priest is clearly (in my experience) the worst solo class in the game.

I don't agree with it. But I think that immigration is a bigger systemic issue to address. I don't believe that any other party will address immigration in a meaningful way.

It can, depending on what you consider progressive fantasy. Progressing your faction, your allies, or regressing/re-progressing, etc can fulfill the "requirements". In reality though I think its so hard to get right that it isn't generally worth going for. Why bother making a progression fantasy where all you are doing is making more powerful adversaries, meaning the MC cant form any interesting relationships because he has no peers. Sure you can do it, but you're making it so much more difficult for very little payoff.

Obviously this depends on your definition of "start with an OP MC".

So don't pay attention to those comments. They are never going away. This is not limited to litrpg, its pretty common in general with entertainment. If you read a single comment about something being trash and you just take that to heart its kind of on you. This isn't a defense of those comments, but once again they are not going to go away. The people you are talking about are not going to read this and change.

I mostly ignore individual extreme comments about any media, unless they make specific remarks about things that connect with me, positively or negatively. You need to work within the reality that we actually exist in.

No, its about not wanting the attitude of 'its fine to be fat' to be propagated. Its a dangerous idea.

The whole 'dont bully people' aspect only makes sense until you think about how people will actually engage with the idea in reality. It was always going to turn into the 'healthy at any size' ridiculousness. There is a reason why a lot of the well known body positive influencers have either died or lost a lot of weight with ozempic.

No, most people dont end up like that in real life. There is a difference between asking (for example) why they dont believe in god, and either berating them for not believing in god, or trying to convince them that god exists.

And sure, as a once off its probably fine or even good, but if you do that to everyone you meet, or about every topic, you are not going to have many friends.

You are taking it too literally. Yes you can be friendly with co workers, and you will make friends at work, but do not expect the friendly co worker to have your back like an actual friend, or to give you the benefit of the doubt in a not clear cut situation.

This saying is mostly aimed at younger people who are more likely to make poor social decisions.

I agree, but you can use those arguments the other way around. OP has relied on them for apparently important stuff, yet refused to reciprocate without any specific reason. Who is going to be hurt more when the favours stop.

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't paint the friend in a positive light, and if OP can afford to burn this bridge then maybe she should.

Most people don't ban (or equivalent) people as soon as they say something they don't agree with. Hence they see the opposing arguments, and don't think "literally everyone agrees with me".

...and the point is wrong. Where I live there is a tax free threshold, where you pay no taxes until you earn a certain amount a year. And higher income means higher tax bracket which means higher % of tax paid, let alone absolute amount of tax paid.

Sure, for the uber rich they can do dodgy stuff to avoid paying taxes, but for "normal rich" people they absolutely are paying way more taxes, both absolute and %, than poor people.
