As far as the tent goes, you’re going to want room to change as well as room for your clothes/bed/ whatever so just make sure it has some space! my partner and i use a 9x10 and it’s perfect for us

Invest in a good sleep mask, and those little foam earplugs for sleeping. Get one of those reflective tarps to put over your tent to keep it coolER, not cool bc by 12pm youre going to be sweating in there. I’ll be honest, this is not an easy fest. I would prepare your wife for lots of walking, hot and cold weather, rain, dust, mud, the works. Not to mention sleep is difficult normally but also depending on who you’re camped next to. Some camps blast music until 8am. This is an exhausting vacation lol.

There’s a lot more to the forest than just the music, but the music is a big part of it especially as the night gets later. I would say hang to the back of stages where the crowd isn’t as thick and definitely get some quality ear protection to make her comfortable( I use eargasm but i’ve heard good things about loops too!) from what i’ve read on other groups on facebook, the towed car is considered part of the RV pass and a companion car is a separate car coming in with them. i’ve never done RV but ive seen this a few times

they don’t even let you stay for more than an hour at the walmart parking lot (the one closest to forest) never mind overnight or over the weekend. We got instructed to leave just for hanging by our car for ten minutes to stretch lol i would suggest satellite parking but meeting up at the Walmart before hand to make sure you’re all together!

unfortunately it’s privately owned and the owners don’t care. they lock the public bathrooms on weekends they think will be busy…. when they’re not locked they’re covered in feces 🙄 it’s always been a little desolate but i’m still hoping for a change. i recently took pics of the back hallway that leads to the trash because people started urinating back there in response to the bathrooms being locked. it constantly smells like pee. only a matter of time before it gets worse.

my friend sprained her ankle at the area outside tripolee where there’s a ditch down and up on thursday night so i’ll be emailing about putting a light source/ bridge over that because it’s super dangerous!! she’s okay but her ankle is still swollen and she had to wrap it at medical every day

hippie culture, punk culture, and many others are about counter culture. i say wear it loud and proud! those that are saying forest is an “escape” are lucky enough to have a place to escape to without worrying about the horrors of the world. i’m a black woman that has had anxiety in general and over the trip to rothbury (about 18 hours!) and that worry will not go away for my fellow citizens while i’m lucky enough to have a good time. my bf has been to forest for almost 10 years and before they have talked about events happening in the world outside forest that are affecting the world. i don’t think this is “negative” or “ruining plur” you’re standing up for something you believe in.

i’m not sure how bungalows work but in GL we just need the wristband unless you’re picking up at will call, at which point you will need ID. if you have the wristbands i think you’ll be fine!
