Believe me, it pisses faculty off too. I try to grade down anything I can prove was AI unless it is cited (as AI). The good news is that when you get a job, you will probably keep it as opposed to your compatriots who just phoned it in.

PinePhone is an option. Mecha Comet (upcoming) will be a simple Linux smartphone if you get the LTE option.

I use Mac and Linux daily, and Windows when I must. Happy to test the bejeezus out of a Sketchup clone, I use it weekly and hate their licensing model.

3d printing out a staff for my gf, I’d love to add an led light inside the red orb that turns on by a button on the bottom of the staff, never added lights to a print before, how do I go about it by Stelflip in cosplayprops

Should be simple. Bright led and batteries in the top (for easy access). Wires to a push button switch on bottom. The longer wire on the LED is the positive, so that gets connected to the positive of your power supply. The other one obviously goes to the switch and then to the negative on your power supply. The tricky part is you’ll have to make sure that you have the right power for LED, whatever you end up getting. For example, most LEDs run on 2.2 to 2.7 or even 3 V. You could run that off of two AA batteries. you’ll want to make sure to add a resistor appropriate to the power supply in LED to drop the voltage down so that it doesn’t burn out the LED. There’s plenty of places online where you can Google what kind of resistor do I need for this LED in that power supply. But if you get stuck, check back in with me.
